I just started customizing. Custom colorways are obviously easy but my drawing skills aren't all that great, I'm looking to start using stencils.

@@fukcg00gle95 i appreciate that. I started did a couple pair of sneakers and a pair of boxing gloves but i switched my focus primarily to clothing. I got a little design studio set up with a cutter and a press.

I would say it can be a relatively bit of a grey area, you deifnitly aren’t suppose to mass produce with their trademarks .. but by creating one off artwork you’re in good shape

Head to thrift stores see what you can find, customize your friends/families shoes for free

Guys, what kind of a tool should I use for outlining and drawing? Is a brush my only option? Are there any paint markers or pens I can use on shoes?
You can test our toothpick method! And if it’s just for outlines that’s the one time I would say a paint marker can do the trick 🤙🏽

Hey dude, awesome work. I have a few questions for ya. Im planning to do customs sneakers for people, but i dont know the legalities of the work. Do i have to open a business? Do i have to pay the taxes to the government? Or at least for starters maybe i dont have to open business? Thanks
You don’t have to the moment you start painting shoes. If you’re doing it for a while you can move forward with opening a business

Both work fine, but if you buy the shoes for the client now the price is even higher for them on an already expensive item so just something to consider

Eric Thomas boxes we started out with packlane, then switched to local when we were ready to order in about 4x the quantity of packlane.. tissue paper go through China for sure. Most of these things have to be ordered in pretty large quantities for it make any sense cost wise

As long as your customers are paying for the sneakers you’ll be fine just paying market value through resale sites
What are the legalities of selling brand name shoes that you have customized?
All the big brands are well aware, they work with some customizers.. have different events with them and even host design contest
