Its wild how Sinead was treated. Despite her being right no one has ever publically apologized, not Pesci, not Madonna. She said something no one was saying and effectively sacrificed her career for it. It also calls to mind flack Fiona Apple got during the MTV VMAS for simply telling people to be true to themselves. Something that would be applauded now, but was seen a her being ungrateful for her award then.

What bothers me about Ashlee Simpson’s scandal is not the mess-up itself, but the way she initially handled it, throwing her band under the bus after they just kept playing and jamming out as Simpson did the walk of shame off stage

The Dan Crenshaw thing to me is a little messed up - sure, maybe Pete Davidson was in the wrong for his comment, but SNL's response was to basically give a free political endorsement and publicity.
I remember when SNL had Jesse Jackson as a guest host, and they leaned *heavily* into his political inclinations. I think SNL has a tendency to drift with the political winds, and as the Republican Party has become more dominant in recent years they have tried to be as hands-off as they can with regards to issues with a vague or indefinite context. Heard any jokes lately about Jim Jordan and wrestling? Jordan is a potential gold mine of material all on his own, although that can be said of many the GOP's Sanitarium wing like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul "I might be having a stroke" Gosar.

First off, why do people even give a fuck..? Someone who doesn't even know you or your mother indirectly insults her? GET OVER IT. But also, he definitely seems like someone who--above all people in his life--genuinely loves his mama. I truly think the comment was genuine. I remember watching the episode live and the ironic thing was you could tell Ashlee Simpson was lip syncing during her first performance because the vocals were EXACTLY what we heard on the radio every day. If a singer is actually singing live, you're going to notice any slight difference if any single note is sung differently, is flat or held out. So it's funny that you can watch her perform that first number and know it was lip syncing...and then she comes out to do the second number and is immediately busted for attempting to lip sync when the wrong song starts playing.

Kanye has always been bat crap crazy, but it wasn't until this moment that 90% of the country started to suddenly have a problem with him...
If you're there to sing, just sing. I don't care what your opinions are, that's not why you're paid to be there. So in that I see and support the issues with him, Sinead, and RATM. But it's funny that this was when the majority turned on Kanye.

The day that we can't imitate anyone's 'accent' is indeed a dark day. Everybody mimics another accent or language someone has. It'snot 'appropriation'..it's copying. Can't even speak in a fake accent anymore huh? What a dying World.

MissMojo is using the term "Scandal" very loosely......xD
Only a couple on here were "actually" scandals. The rest was SNL being too liberal.....

The pope was instrumental in covering up the child sex abuse scandal within the Catholic Church by keeping the victims quiet and shuffling around known offenders from one parish to the next where they could - and did - offend again. It boggles my mind that some people aren't aware of that.
