Brother tell those people to come back home 🏡 no more war in our mama Liberia please
It’s been 20 years war is over. My mom was one of those refugee in the 90s. My grandmother got a job got married and bought a house. they lived a good life in Ghana and had servants. My grandmother my mom and her siblings came to America. May God be the glory
They just want to be in the camp begging. Liberia is their home. They need to be home
You can't call yourself refugees anymore, our country is free and beautiful.
The refugee status had even elapsed back in 2013
Bro tell those people to go home. Liberia 🇱🇷 is safe their country needs them.
Shut uop@@benbo7042
Ley War na finished. No more refugees again. My people try to come home
We are talking about Ghana here. In the next five years, when you go back there you would think that you are in some part of Europe.
The Liberian government need to do something about this.
like what?
Mr Kortu, you're doing great job. Very impartial and up to the point. I remember Ghana government in collaboration with UN ,supported the refugees with money ($400) and transportations back to Liberia. Some went but came back and others took the money but decided to stay.
There is no where like home.Come back home God will make a way.
Lies lies lies... hundreds of notice have been given, several meetings held over many years.. Very sad to see some ungrateful individuals..
Like you Ghanaian who have forgotten so soon
@@annettemccrumada8255 about what?
If they like to stay in Ghana they have to move to another city ghana is big, Don’t depend only on government
They were informed about that Land ownership. This is patriotic Ghana unlike Liberia. As for them, Ghanains first in all cases.
Go back home and help build Liberia.
So the Ghanaian government gave you $400 equivalent at the time and you ate the money and stayed but now you say the Ghanaian government doesn’t care about you?
You ought to be ashamed of yourself for making such a statement about the Liberian. Do you know how many Ghanaian you are still living in LIBERIA? THE LIBERIAN had never ask them to leave their country because we love foreigners
@@annettemccrumada8255nobody is asking them to go but it has been almost 35 years, there’s no more fighting, they can find jobs/or create jobs , like every Ghanaian. They are no more refugees, the fight is over, they should be grateful to Ghana the only west Africa country that accepted them ok
@annettemccrumada8255 how many Ghanaians are living on free land in liberia? Ghanaians are not asking them to go home but they must leave that camp. We should not be ungrateful to Ghana.
@@annettemccrumada8255 But the land belongs to the traditional authorities and they wanted their land back. Besides, your time here had expired and you were notified.
@@annettemccrumada8255shame on yourself! Is Ghana responsible to take care of you people! Some Ghanaians are build Liberia , you should be ashamed of yourself!! The war in your country is over tell your people to be productive
The Liberian government should use an emergency fund for construction buildings in various counties to provide an affordable accommodation as they adjust to their country Liberia for a better future.
They're already doing so.
27 years and you still want to live a refugee life?
We going home so your can take your land
@@user-go5vr9nl7p who are you calling your? I'm a Liberian just like yourself. Those people need their land back and that's it. We like FREE things in our country.
@@user-go5vr9nl7p😂😂😂😂 you should be ashamed of yourself living as refugees when the war is over!! UN is tired of yall
They were notified and compensated. He is not being truthful
Life is still better in Liberia than Ghana for a Liberian. Why lived somewhere and have to be supported by friends and relatives in the diaspora? Your come home and let those remittances help our economy instead.
All this English, you can come teach English in Liberia, come home. With your big grammar, integration, crateria, etc. come speak English home.
Your need to go back home and try empowering yourself. There's Nowhere like home
Africa has never been divided, we are Negroes and Bantus and Ghana is their birthright. What do you mean go home? You think you are talking about black Americans and Jamaicans? You need to learn that west Africa was one place before the Caucasians came and divided it.
From Ghana 🇬🇭 to Liberia 🇱🇷 is just $100 USD by road so why can they just go home?
Ghana is hard
My brother Ghana is not your home and there's no war in Liberia again, you guys should come back home.
The Ghanaians did their best so it time they come home
I'm telling you oo
Oooh my beloved Liberian we have suffered alot😭
Ghana is hard ,than Liberia 🇱🇷 🇱🇷🇱🇷❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ghana is not asking the Liberians to go. All the government is saying is that they have to either integrate into the society by looking for their own accomodation just like the ordinary ghanaians do or go back to Liberia. The war ended about 30 years ago and the camp was officially closed in 2010, the government together with UNHCR gave them money to either integrate into the society or go back to Liberia. Some Liberians got themselves integrated, married and had children with the society and are now living happily in ghana with their children enjoying free education. Others left for Liberia. But the lazy ones still don't want to work and pay rent, like the citizens do, and still want to be accorded refugee status after 30 years of the end of the liberian civil war. That land belongs to the chiefs and people of Buduburam and are demanding for their land to be released back to them for development. In Ghana, the Government does not own lands. Lands belong to individuals and the chiefs who hold them in trust for the people.
Our people are ungrateful if you ask me.
@@liberianpeoplethank you for been honest!! Ghana have done a lot! Even though Ghana is not a developed ; Ghana have done a lot for Liberians
You all need to go home. The war is over. Sorry 😞
Ghana shouldn't have taken in any refugees in the first place. Sometimes good intentions don't always end up being good decisions. It's almost as if Ghana never did anything for Liberians from what I can see in this video. But it's all good
So sad
It is just like bringing in a homeless person to live temporarily so that they can find their feet but now that you are ready to take back your room, they don't want to leave and are complaining.
@@markdempsey1088 hmmmmmm .... What you're saying is very true. The UN ruled in 2006 that it's safe for them to return back home but they've refused. If you'll not go back home, just integrate into the country, that one too they'll not. The land they've occupied over the years does not belong to the government and owners want it back. Maybe they were thinking they keep the land for themselves, which is crazy to say the least.
Pure ignorance. In Ghana, the government does not own lands. Lands belong to individuals and the chiefs. The chiefs hold the land in trust for the people. However, when government needs land for a project, the chiefs are contacted for the release of the land and compensations are made. But the land still remains the property of the chiefs and their people. That Buduburam refugee camp lands are not for the government. Period.
They locked knowledge that's why they're suffering
The very young man interviewing them was in that camp. Is not a shame. Even the UNHCR gave them resettlement year after year.
The consequences of Charles Taylor’s war still linger.
All of this comes in two words "Welcome Home " there is nothing like the green green grass of home. Your beautiful country, Liberia, and you tell me Liberian in Refugee Camp???
Please go back
I have been there 19year ago wee come from Nigeria to visit that place during our school time ❤
Even the jews left Egypt 🇪🇬 and went home so Liberians must go home
You can say that again. I'm a LIBERIAN and I approved this message.
My brother go home.
welldone
Thank God
I think there are in Liberia now welcome back home family 🙏
Bro you talking too much Ghana we have help you and been giving you hospitality by the very first time you guys step our land we have brought you guys will and now the crimnality in that camp is over on become ok sooooooooo many
Ghana accepting Liberian refugees wasn’t free. United Nations gives Ghana government good amount of money for Liberian refugees to seek refuge and Ghana have benefited greatly from that. Now they have schools, etc that were built for refugees. Liberian should have gone back home long time because How can you accept staying to a place without them giving you work permit.
A was war that toke 4 to 5 thousands Liberians to Ghana to seek refuge but almost the same 4 to 5 thousands ghanian are in Liberia seeking asylum because of hardship in Ghana.
@@abrahamrogers8282
And there’s no hardships in Liberia?
Keep quiet
@@Kingoftheimmigrants4646 shame!!! This is a social media platform so everyone has right to their opinion, don’t come here to tell a person to keep quiet. Or Ghana own CZcams too??
@@abrahamrogers8282
lol stop the bitterness
@@Kingoftheimmigrants4646 lol I’m not!!! 🙌🏾🤗😂
My people your go back home
Look at this man is Ghana government giving money to it citizens? Don’t be ungrateful
When you live in a country for a long time, that becomes your home. You make new friends and family. Will you host them and provide them food if they leave today? This is really sad!
come home brothers, Liberia is far better right now than Ghana
Ghana is much better than liberia
You don't know what you saying
Change is difficult.
The Two Government should give them transportation like busses to carry them home and that's for those who can't afford to rent
The people tired with yall, yall come back home
Ikr?
Ghanaian again? OMG! Our Law makers are eating too much money 💰 while their people suffers
Please what has Ghana done??
Are you aware they were supported with money sometime back to go back and rebuild their country???? And a lot of them left happily.
Over 30 years now and you don't appreciate Ghana a little bit????.
Just go back the time is over talk to your government to help you for there is peace now. if there is no toilet and the roof is off. If you don't feel comfortable
Ms. Brown, you don't have work but you have five children. Even people that are working can not have five children.
Ikr? Like you put yourself in this situation. You have kids you can't feed.
Why don’t you people want to integrate with the Ghanaian community. You still want to live in that camp which will keep you in poverty. Nigerians come to Ghana and live freely, make money and take over, why can’t you do same. That poverty mentality should end.
I'm telling you oo my brother.
As per the interview, Ghana government should act responsible, because Liberia is sister a Country and Liberians there have the right
What is your government doing after over 30 years
Ghana should act responsible???? Elaborate on your statement. Listen to them.. the government does not own land in Ghana. You don’t think they should have integrated by now?? 34 years should have been enough time to mingle.
@@Domeyo448 our Liberian people wants everything for FREE
This is really sad
It may look that way because they are being ungrateful. Ask them if provisions have not been made for them to leave long ago? They're liars
Best to return home...
That would have helped to take home.
There is No where like Home which is Liberia.
I see black mold on the ceiling of the food storage room. That stuff is very deadly. People live under conditions like that and don't have a clue what's making them sick.
I tell you oo
The first guy who spoke is so so ungrateful gosh. The government gave you just 800 cedis. You say just 800 cedis? Me as a Ghanaian saf my government has never given me 1 cedi before to go and rent and you are they spewing lies upon lies. If you don’t have anything to give to your helper keep quiet and don’t be ungrateful. You want to live soft life all your lives without working right? This is called laziness.
My people are ungrateful if you ask me. They likes FREE THINGS. IF you stopped giving them FREE THINGS, you're the bad one.
When you see smoke Dont wait for the fire before you move.
Ghanaians are very friendly to foreigners.
This is so sad for our citizens 😢😢
I tell you oo
Ungrateful people
We are. So bad. The minute to STOP 🛑😠 helping us, we'll say you haven't done a thing for us.
How can I help those sick girls on the bed?
I wish I knew. I got this video from punch TV Liberia and they got it from someone else too.
Am a Ghanaian and am not happy for them being forced to go back home, but my problem is what prevented them from integrating into the Ghanaian society. Ghana is not only Accra so you can go to a different part of the country and live your life there like the Nigerians are doing. We are all Africans and we love you.
This is extremely sad. Why wasn’t provisions made to legalize these folks. It’s so unfair that there‘ t land purchased from the chiefs. Are’nt the kids Ghanaian citizens and have legal rights. This is so unfair. These people have trauma. It’s inhumane
NGOs in Ghana should come to their aid
I wish I can send money to these guys
Where can I send money to?
I wonder if those kids who were born in the refugee camps were granted Ghanaian citizenship?
Not even sure.
Please in Ghana we don’t acquire citizenship by place of birth but by blood so they can’t get Ghanaian citizenship except those who married Ghanaians. It is not automatic that you are born in Ghana you are a Ghanaian😊
@@vidaabynamarfo4816 They can be naturalized if they have lived in the country long and show they have integrated into the country
How can the government tell how Liberians brothers and sisters to go home while the Chinese and the Lebanese are in ghana, this is our problem with black people
But those people are not living in the camp so that's the difference.
Are they living on borrowed land? You were giving same opportunity to integrate.
@@markdempsey1088 yes they were. They want everything for FREE
What sort of closed minded ignranc makes some of you speak like this? Have you any idea the number of Liberians who moved out of the camp and are living and working freely in Ghana? What sort of ingratitude is this? The land is the only issue in question now. None of them who leaves the camp and finds accommodation in town will be troubled. The refugee status ended in 2010, land owners say we need our land back, and you're here making unfounded comparisons. What's wrong with some of you?
Locked of knowledge so our people are suffering. This is what is being spread around and this is why Liberia is what it is. This is why some comments, I just pass by my business and move on. She/He doesn't know better just spreading lies around and go on and on. All I can say is, our people are ungrateful. They like FREE THINGS. If you stop 🛑 doing FREE THINGS for them, they will come against you.
What is the Liberian Embassy doing about the situation? African leaders enjoy running away from responsibilities. Corruption from "Sun up to Sundown". I weep for Africa.
They should go farm and build their country! Ghana have done a lot!! Enough is enough
So when will nigeria too go
Are you even Liberian or know what's going on? The government in Ghana wants them to stay in Ghana but not in the camp. Liberians are refusing to integrate in the society. The land the camp is on, belongs to the government or some entity and they want their land back. Liberians who are living in the camp need to find a house to rent and live in not on the camp. Do you understand it now?
Thanks for the effort to update us on the situation in the Buduburam camp. But your audio with the interviewers is very poor as we hear you clearly, n it's a matter of editing to correct the recording so we can also hear their response as you do. You seem to repeat some of the responses, whereas you could get the mic closer to them as it is with you.
Thanks for watching but I can't edit the audio. This was a live video. If you're living in America, you should know about live videos.
Sorry to hear that
