- A viewer asked me to play the T-129 but I mistook a modern attack helicopter for a WW2 squished T-34 so here we are!
The T-126 is a Starter Pack tank for the USSR tech tree that's a little bit dated and pretty overtiered. The cannon and armour is fine but she's a bit too slow to make everything work!
Oh, we also fly some weird aircraft I've never heard of! :)

111st try, please play the T-80 or T-28E in USSR tree, 2.3 br. The T-28E is foldered in with the T-28.
The fact that the sherman 105 is a lower br than this thing is criminal
The 105 is absolutely disgusting and the only thing more disgusting is people defending it being at 2.7 because of "slow turret traverse".

Eh, I'm not surprised it probably does poorly generally... garbage turret traverse + stock HE rounds + low velocity heat shells + slow reload + new players driving it so exposing it's sides

Doesn't matter, Gaijin balances vehicles based on game statistics. So while experienced players can wipe out entire other teams with one, this is "balanced" by the hordes of newbies who blunder straight at the cap points over and over.

That 105 Sherman still being at that BR is just disgusting - It's not even the M4A1 style hull with weakpoints players can learn, so if the enemy has one of the many tanks that simply can't pen it from the front then it turns into a complete seal-clubber.
its a break point still plus the tank was made on accident in a way but the time it was made it was a infantry tank put it on a hill and shoot down on poor troops
But then someone will eventually have the bright idea of flanking it or revenge bomb it.
@@zylawso.n3878 Nevertheless, it would have absolutely no problem being at 3.3. It has better armor than the M4A1 and more pen while having a worse turret traverse and post-pen, I'd say, it's a fair trade.
105 handles like shit the armor barely makes it worth, the .50 cal is more useful almost.
@@blackcatthegreat182 Bruh, the mobility compared to most vehicles is top notch, the armor is fucking worth it when 80% of the stuff can't pen it and struggles even on the MG port and cupola weakspots and it's capable of one-shotting or heavily damaging your vehicle with ease. Turret traverse being shit doesn't excuse it at all for being 2.7.

For anyone interested, i counted 32 shots fired at that sherman. Beast got showered with lead before being put out of misery

Damn right! That damn thing was a flying tank of a plane. Nigh on the same level as the B-17 in terms of the damage it can take, and that says something as there have been B-17's that have been almost torn in half and still made it home.
Considering how many of them were built, you'd expect the plane to actually be subject of a few legends. But it didn't.
So it's insignificant.

They were significant to the Soviet union for production numbers and the propaganda value of rookie pilots claiming everything they hit as a "kill", regardless of effect.
In reality they inflicted less than 2% of combat casualties.
This used to absolutely dominate. Everything would ping off of... anywhere really.
If they moved the 105 Sherman to 3.3 I think it would be ok
i almost always use it with the 3.3 m4a1 and it does great
Have you played it? Any shot that isnt direct front pen, the side,back, and top armor is tinfoil
The Sherman 105 and the Valentine with the 75mm are the same BR, but the Valentine with the 6 pounder is actually higher at 3.0, get your head around that!

That roast of the IL-2 almost felt personal. I absolutely love it. Easily my favorite plane to just mess around in. The 23mm guns destroy planes instantly in a head on and 2 250kg is pretty nice at 3.0. The only downside is its speed. Its pretty slow.

Was only like 14 dollars. And then when I was watching the video he accidently slipped and called it an useless plane. 🥺
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the IL-2, its namesake is what got me into flight sims back in the day.

I usually hate purely ground attack based aircraft and would much rather have a fighter with a bomb instead, but the IL-2 variants excluding the 37mm variant are the exception to me, I love them
IL-2 is actually more of a fighter-bomber hybrid and can hold up pretty well in dogfights, when USSR lacked enough Yak and La fighters they used IL-2s as fighter planes. Its not like British strike aircraft which have horrible manueverability etc.
Half my A2A kills in it are because a shocking number of fighter pilots think it would be a good idea to go head-on against something that is basically a T-60 with wings.
I remember shooting t-126 from the side while grinding for British tree, I shot him from the side to the ammo 4 times, every single time the ammo changed color and after the 5th shot, the shells got disappeared 😂

I love the 126 I agree about the turret traverse but you can brawl with it and most players at that br still are hesitant to take on a vehicle thats super aggressive but either the 105 or being bombed was the only way I ever died in that

The Sturmovic was the most produced aircraft of WW 2 and was immensely effective against German armour. It was a ground attack aircraft not a fighter but was so heavily armoured German fighter aircraft found it a very difficult and dangerous target.
Never heard of it.
This tank used to seal-club everything for so long.
I bought it in the recent sales and it's handy as backup scout tank to the T-50

Favourite CAS plane I have ever flown (PE-3 bis being a close second), regularly bring it to 5.3 plus and have fun with it.
The beaufighter mk X could make for a very fun video, it has four 20mm cannons that shred german ground units top down, six 7.7mms that are great at leading against aircraft and carries 8 rp3 rockets that can easily deal with open top AA

this is one of my favorite soviet tanks. if you get down tiered you are an almost un-killable god with few to no counters, and if you're up tiered nothing changes you are still an absolute menace to society.
Oh I luv this tank it was so great playing low BR with this thing as it eats up shots and gives the enemy team trouble everytime.

The IL-2 was literally the best ground attack aircraft produced in ww2, also performed well against the german invasion of the USSR.
Ironically in thumbnail you've created borderline perfect light tank for soviets in WWII. T-126 armor and suspension, short 76mm KT-28(though L-10 would have been better. And I know that thumbnail is cut down 20K 45mm) and .50 AA HMG(sadly only as a prop and not on turret). But completely ideal one would be T-50 components with T-126 armor values, T-80 turret design that allows to raise the gun, L-10 76mm cannon, two coaxial MGs akin to T-50, but with one of them being DShK and with hull sides being and hull front being "straightened out" akin to T-70/80 to simplify production. Basically soviet Valentine Mk.XI QF75 with less powerful gun, but more versatile overall.
The only real predators for the Sherman 105 was the Panzer 3 M you could actually trade blows if you knew how to use your side skirts. But now my precious Panzer 3M is overtiered even though reserve tier gun can punch through its frontal armour and it has an abundance of frontal weak spots.

I could not disagree more. The 3.0 USSR lineup is one of my comfort lineups. Its got the T-126, the Yak-9B, and the Il-2 1942. The T-50 is a fast lil brother, and of course the SU-57 and SU-57B are both incredibly fun TDs even though they're only 2.3 and 2.7. Its mostly a 2.7 lineup with a T-126 and CAS but those are the gems of the lineup.
I like the il-2, well the German premium one. Bought it in a battle pass in the warbound Shop. The funniest thing is bringing it out at 7.3 and killing jets. To my surprise people are genuinely impressed if you manage to kill a jet in your very heavy plane
It shows how good the Soviet 45mm is for 1.0 that it's still viable (if not exactly good) at 3.0.

I have some of my best matches in this tank, never had an issue with the speed but that turret rotation is definitely terrible
Su-122. 2.3BR, and 122mm gun facing vehicles that simply cant pen it with 37mm.
It's semi-frustrating to watch as I always play this as a heavy and it works fine, 105's don't really effect the 126 that much if you aim for the machine gun port with APHE, People underestimate the tank so it's my favorite and probably the best low tier russian prem tank

Sherman 105mm got nerfed mercilessly, so 2.7 br is fine because of that. HE rounds can't kill anything and HEAT rounds are working like APCR. M4 105 is useful only against light targets at the moment. As you saw at 5:00 it can't even kill a T-126.

The t-126 is actually a decent tank to help grind out 3.0 USSR. Most of my progress around that BR is from it. It's not amazing, but it's not horrible, and the armor bounces enough shells to keep you fighting longer than other tanks in the lineup

If you think the IL2 '42 is terrible, the '41 is pretty much the same plane but at only 2.3. Truly useless. You'll still catch guys willing to headon you in ARB there.
The IL-2 game you had on Finland is a pretty common match for me and I’m a horrible cas player. You should take it out a little more.

I've been grinding attack planes and bombers in the american line, and I'm at 3.0 and it just hurts, I feel so incredibly bad for using the 105 to get my plane up in there, just to grind a little bit of research

It was the backbone of the CAS regime for the USSR in WW2 and probably one of the most used airplanes in WW2 next to the Bf-109 and it's variants.
PS: I had a 12 Kill match with it too but yeah the Armor is pretty much rubbish.
As a German main and Wirbelwind/Ostwind/109 player IL-2s are dangerous only when used correctly, otherwise it’s a free kill

I know this is illegal to do in war thunder and on CZcams… BUT it still good at arcade mode. I know that mode is illegal but you can’t flight things that are a br higher the you. And 1 kill = fighter plane 2 kills = fighter/bomber (il2 even at 1.0 Douglas dive bomber ,etc) 3kills is bomber (aka big bomb or lots of bombs) and you can still never even died to use it.. just make should you are in a hiding spot. Arcade mode is good for new players

This thing pounded at 2.7 was my favourite tank. Not touched it since 3.0, paired well with the Zis30 and the T50. Shame.
