    Put a deposit on my Apache the other day, paying the rest of over the next few weeks. I’ve got the white and red version, cannot wait!😛

    Really tempted when my payments finish on my suzuki to get a sm. Whats your thoughts. I know these bikes arent the fastest. Really tempted to find greenlanes in my area but doing it on a sport styled motorbike is definitely not in my interest lol.

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 4 lety +1

      haha yes I would not recommend a sport bike on the green lanes. If you're completely new to off road and one some gentle fun it would be ideal. If you're more experienced I would anticipate you'll out grow it quite quickly.

      @@TheGirlOnABike Thanks for getting back! I have been riding for about 4 years or so. Done some light lanes during my airsofting days lol. Just looks really fun to get into.

    What makes you say these are small bikes ? Im 6 foot 6 and all the bikes I have been looking at half 80cm or less seat height a few have had low 80s but 91 seems big

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 4 lety

      oh wow. Ok, it's probably the lowest bike I've ever ridden [obviously bar trials]. I had totally flat feet on both sides. All the enduro bikes I've tried, KTM, Husky, Beta etc are much higher. Maybe there are lower bikes but this is definitely low. As a 6"6 rider I would probably say you would feel like origami on this bike hehe

    Got the first blade, carb version not confident enough to take it far from home? Just wouldnt trust it!! But i do have alot of green lane fun locally..

      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 3 lety

      Oh no. What's it doing that's lost the trust? Sorry to hear that

      Replaced alot of parts, coil, bottom end, bore piston, rings etc.carb, fawk leg, wheel barings, break caliper rebuilds twise! Headstock barings, exhaust, speedo + more. It had only 7k when i bought it, and i have only dun 2k my self. It is a 2016 model. I got to put it threw test january so with all that work i hope its a pass!!

    Hi, I forgot to ask ..is the seat of the Blade X comfortable?

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 4 lety +1

      ummm good question. I can't say I really remember specifically thinking about it. I do remember thinking how comfortable I was riding along the road, so that would imply yes as I definitely don't remember thinking I wasn't. So I would say yes. That was a roundabout answer! ha

      @@TheGirlOnABike thanks again for replying it's greatly appreciated. I'm glad you remember and don't remember lol! It sounds safe to say it's a comfortable ride . It will be my first bike. It's been a big help!
      Some people, friends of mine emplore me to buy a used bike with a more established name like honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki from a well known auction site for a little less or 3/4 of the rrp of the blade X . I'm a little reluctant as I feel a first bike should be checked properly , have warranty (such as sinnis) whereas a used bike could hide a host of problems I am not equipped yet to tackle . Anyway thanks again

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 4 lety

      Yeah I totally understand that. With a used bike you never really know what you're getting. I'd love to hear how you get on once you start riding it

    My son has the same sinnis apache sm what a load of shite, fault after fault, first the decals came of in the rain nuts and bolts fall out brake hose failure and fuel injection fault, won’t tick over and it’s on 4 months out, my honest opinion don’t waste your money, spend and extra £500 and get something decent

    • @TheGirlOnABike
      @TheGirlOnABike  Před 3 lety

      oh gosh, that's mad not cool. Sorry to hear that. I know what you mean about spending a little more and getting something decent. It's often the way with the bottom end values on the market. Kind, unfortunately, fits most things in life...trainers, kitchen pans, drills. Hope you get the bike sorted dude

    The tyres suck. change them to MEICHELIN AC10's Also swap those handlebars to renthal baced ones. AC10s are also road legal tyres

      ArgosWarrior Actually nothing wrong with the standard bars. I bought a Sinnis (old) Apache for my first bike back after 45 years of missing 2 wheels. The Apache was quite well spec’ed. The alloy standard bars took a couple of “offs” and drops without bending. BTW, I’m almost 6 feet tall and found the Apache very comfortable. I got a little pang of regret watching this video, as I sold the Sinnis when I found the bike of my dreams (Serow, XT225). Only got room for one bike in my crowded garage! I agree with the video, a great machine for a first bike, or a small commuter that will also let you have fun on the rough. This was a good and honest review. Also check out the various people who have taken the Apache on the Mongol Rally. Les
