After causing a storm with a string of releases on his own imprint, the unstoppable and unique talent of Dyro returns to Revealed with a fresh hit set for Summer.
Joining forces with Canadian artist Conro, a fresh face becoming known for his gargantuan productions in his own right, Dyro adds him into the cocktail to now make his Revealed debut on the melodic, high-flying ‘Bittersweet’. Enlisting newcomer Envy Monroe’s glass-shattering vocal that lends itself beautifully to the production, Dyro still maintains his unmistakably weighty sound within the genre, whilst Conro’s electro weaponry on the original edit holds its own through the pumping bass, his flipside dubstep remix also making for a united driving-force, that results in a mix of radio-friendly choruses and surging build-ups across the release.

To be perfectly honest, I'm slightly disappointed. By most standards, this is a great progressive track and I appreciate its merits. But Dyro's standard _isn't_ most standards. It lacks that wow factor that has become second nature to almost every WOLV release of his. The innovation, the breathtaking sound design, the sheer ingenuity that has stamped a repertoire of electronic music second to none - I see very little of that here. It's good - and it's _safe_. It ascribes to the same old formula, one that I thought Dyro had transcended long ago, and one that Conro abandoned with his fantastic collaboration on The Hound.
I'm curious, because nobody will know this better than Jordy himself. So what is it? A nostalgic revisiting of old roots? A restrained production designed to cater to the wider, more conservative Revealed audience? Both seem equally likely; both are a step in the wrong direction.

Maybe Wolv is different, but few years ago I fell in love with Dyro's music, he was the best producer for me, I liked that energy so much (not too energetic like Wolv, but moderated). When he created these Wolv Records I liked only first two songs, but I wasn't sure, because it was not my style... After that, well.. I hated it. It was just that unique SOUND, no melody, no music for me. Only headache. I'm so glad that he released something old, 'nostalgic' like you say, it brings back a lot of memories why I loved Dyro's music in the first place. :)

deivis1091 If you want melodies and your so-called moderated 'music', go listen to Alesso, Axwell & Ingrosso, 3LAU, Vicetone... Dyro is all about that energy, and his songs are masterpieces in sound engineering.. This is nice to listen to but thats just it, nothing special. theres a reason he evolved from this old style into the current unique electro that he created..its amazing simple as that.
Kuka I like your reviews. Well thought out and blunt, just the way good reviews should be... Not that I 100% agree with it - I find this track pretty great and a nice change up from Wolv style. But you hit the nail on the head in many respects; I doubt the track is going to stay on people's radars for very long. Its nice and very forgettable.
1. I love how almost no one gives a sh*t to Conro (maybe Dyro did a bit more than 50%, but still)
