  • This is a video of my complete restoration of a bmw e30 control arms.
    Including the dismantling, removing the old ball joints and bushes, sand blasting, , prepping and painting and installation of replacement Lemforder inner and outer ball joints with powerflex lolly pop bushes!

      @@BadE30 I've ordered some POR15 to compare..I use the POR15 Metal Prep..but follow that with Hammerite Red Oxide then Hammerite Smooth Black...need to try with POR15 direct to metal....

      Very happy with it, especially as even after pressing in the ball joints, there was barely a mark on them!

    in order to dont accumulate to much pressure until the hole thing explodes you can apply a little bit of pressure and then release pressure by repeatedly hitting the assembly with a hammer. Is just a security tip I think hahahaha. But good work.

    Is the arms for e30 and e36 the same ? Because in my e36 have the e30 arms

    Thanks- what size shop press do you have? (For example- 12 Ton, 20 Ton)

      It was using a cheap '20 ton' press but I highly doubt it would do near that. 12 ton would suffice.
