It’s going to vary, but I think the echo effect may be produced more so by the acoustics. Just guessing. But anyway I mute my Tv when I have external speakers on bc I don’t like how they sound together.
Hi sir, we have OnePlus tv which does not support aux but supports HDMI arc. And have sony speakers which only support aux connectivity. We use Direct wifi connection and no set up box. Can we use this device to connect sony speakers to tv?
I'm going to say YES. I haven't done it myself because I don't really use ARC, however since I believe it may become the new standard, I'm going to make a few videos about it to help get people comfortable with it.

What if your using the tv itself as the source? For example i just use the netflix thats loaded on the tv. Does this still work?
