You are a dead man walking
Hell is a metaphor for the Revelation 20:14 2nd death, where the dead know nothing. This Pastor is preaching Rome's reinterpretation, that made Yahweh out to be a vindictive torturer of the dead relatives of the target demographic of the Mark 16:15 great commission. And for a price could get you out of the hell they made, that made Yahweh out to be a money changer as well. What hell really is, is the deleting of your program. Punishing those on death row with no chance of parole would make no sense for them to get credit for good behavior and a change of thinking, which the book of JOB was all about.

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" [John 4:24]
Scripture remind us, "that God is not a man that he should lie"
What you have done created your own god out of the free will he gave you - notice how convenient you find him? Notice how he isn't offended when you violate ethics or morals?
It's all an illusion bro - God is God period, not just of the Bible, but his Sovereignty, Providence and omniscience are inestimable.
As the word says, "his ways are not our ways..." he cannot be defeated because "he sees the end from the beginning" he has done it all through Christ.
Now as to your comment about "seminary trained" the Apostle Paul was seminary trained, he was trained under Gameliel. Depending upon how you were schools are there under classic biblical theology are secular systematic theology.
It's good to know where your faith stacks up against the other variants and that in part, is what theology is all about.
Better to be trained in what is universally valuable as it pertains to the substance of a solid bibliocentric, Christologically correct education, over the fruit juicy ecumenical nonsense going on today.
God gave us free will, he only has one standard..
We can either accept it or reject it but we cannot invent it.
