If you’ve watched the audio snippets you’ll see that wife was actually inside the trash bin folder. And that’s because it didn’t fit the overall concept of the album. So they definitely chose it as the pre release on purpose.
The lip syncing thing. They did it towards the end, which probably means only the last part is what they literally wanted to say / emphasis on.

Good reaction. Few of the other reactors have bothered to do their study of the lyrics, and just haven't gotten the playful point of the video.
The analysis on X blows my mind. The lyrics are very risque, mainly talking about a stereotypical wife's roles: cook, clean, sex. But in the MV, (G)i-dle lip sync none of that lyrics, they only did at the last part where it's they "don't wanna wife"
They are also using "wife" as a verb there. It seems simple but there is so much meaning packed into it.
