  • Come watch our goat pulling a sled! This is our first time and I was crossing my fingers for only minor injuries, ha ha. I piled my kids into the sled and we had a blast! We used my favorite billy goat, Rolo, who is a lamancha goat, that's why his ears are so small they are almost not there. I raised him from a baby and he has been my favorite goat ever since. Now THIS is how you get into the holiday spirit and even our goat is wearing a Santa hat!
We used a dog coat as the harness and hooked him up to the sled with a boat rope pully. It worked like a charm!

Can you let your kids ride the goat it would be funny?!!

That’s such a fun idea! Only my littlest daughter is small enough to ride him. I tried it about a year ago and it was half successful. The goat kept trying to shrink out from under her (like a cat) and Rolo’s horns are so big they could knock her in the face accidentally. Goats are really good pack animals but riding them can be really iffy, ha ha.

@@TheLittleBlackShadeTree maybe try to use a saddle and reins to control him like a horse.

Ha ha, yes that would be helpful! I’ve never heard of people using a bridal on a goat but now I’m curious and need to look it up!

@@TheLittleBlackShadeTree I just though that you are riding it like a horse just think of that.

@@TheLittleBlackShadeTree I just relieved that you can hold on to the horns and kick the goat and stear by the horns if it doesn't work.
