I love it! I'm going to buy your plans and do the same thing. One question though: what was your total cost for this?

That is a really hard question to answer, because there are lots of variables. If you do the butcher block bench, it's more than an extra sheet of plywood. If you do shiplap behind it, you have to add that cost as well. It will be several hundred dollars either way.
