Here the set depicts community setting , the gap between the two is the generational gap, here the male singer who as an artist has seen life pass by like a train is essentially looking out the window looing at the young generation hears on seeing the younger generation that is the female singer pessimistic and fearful and tells them to fallow their dreams and dont let their fear hold them back.
Additional note is the male singer is a veteran singer trained in classical music and is a composer has a career spanning four decades and the female singer is a young designer who took lessons on classical singing to become a trained singer. This song is essentially a conversation between the two. The translation in English really missed the depth of the song by reducing them to simple sentences here
