My journey towards being a Stay was pretty much unintentional :) I was on youtube one day in May 2021, searching for fanmade stuff about an anime I love (Tokyo Revengers) and yt suggested a video with a guy on the thumbnail that at the time looked to me like my favourite character from that anime, Draken (learned later on that was Felix xD). Aaaand I didn't read the full title, I only saw that one dude and knew the title said something about "stray kids", which made sense to me as the anime is about kids being in gangs, so yeah, stray kids, it made sense (their clothes also made me think about the gang coats, all in all, everything made total sense to me if they were making something fanmade). BUT! As soon as I clicked on that video, the sound that filled my ears made me freeze and stay completely aware of what was happening. Even the first face and hairstyle I saw in the video resembled another character in that anime, Mikey (learned later on it was Hyunjin :P), but dayum, that beat, that intensity! It was actually a video of Stray Kids performing "God's Menu" in Studio Choom - and I'm so glad I didn't watch the original videoclip because it would be overwhelming to me at the time :) I immediately loved Changbin's rap (I remember I was drawn to his raspy voice and intense stare with those red and blue lenses right away, his presence was amazing) and right after, when Han shows up, I remember thinking that I haven't seen such a beautiful man in a very long time - also, he's always so charismatic. AND! When Felix finally shows up and sings his iconic part I was actually not that surprised by his voice because, yet again, I was still thinking about Tokyo Revengers and that character that I thought Felix was interpreting, Draken, also has a strong deep voice for his age xD And Changbin ending the song again it was IT for me. I was very confused, but I knew that I loved what I saw, both the choreography and the song itself. But even still, I let it go. Two days later yt recomended another video by Stray Kids, "Side Effects", and when I watched that I finally started to understand that they were a k-pop group (and I wasn't very fond of k-pop then, even now I'm not a huge fan of k-pop, I just love Stray Kids' songs a lot! xD). And the day after I saw "Victory Song". And I thought to myself, 'well, I guess third time's the charm, I guess I need to hear more songs from these guys'. And I had a blast listening to their discography the next couple of months, and when I was wondering when they would launch their next album I saw somewhere that they would have a new album on August, and I was sooo hyped! So yeah, NOEASY was my first comeback and I've loved being a Stay since then ^_^ It also took me more than a year to decide who my bias is. It took a lot of thinking and a lot of guide videos, but I gave up trying to choose only one of the guys and decided that my biases were 3Racha+Felix. The other guys, Hyunjin, Lee Know, Seungmin and I.N. are always trying to wreck my biases list and I'm not even mad, I also love them very much xD So yeah, you asked for our Stay journey, and this is mine ^_^ sorry for the long comment

I really like the songs they use for the ops and eds and I was in the mood for something like that and that was around the time circus came out (it was on the CZcams trending page) I clicked on it and Hyunjin is who got me invested, I must've watched that video like a million times😭. Got into the CZcams edits of the members and the rest is history😅
Okay so the story behind the song Time Out is that around a week(?) before their comeback with Oddinary, Hyunjin suggested that they go on a small vacation together. And so all 8 of them went on a spontaneous vacation together and they had such a good time that afterwards 3racha were inspired to write this song. Chan even recorded the sound of the waves during their vacation and added it to the song so its like we're actually getting a little bit of their happiness from that time included in the song. They recorded the music video much later during the tour and released it as a gift for Stays.
time out was made after the 3-day vacation skz had together. they said they had so much fun that they decided to make a song about it. 8:27 the giggles in the song were actually chan's recording of the members actual laughing during that vacation which for me makes the song even more special
It's funny to think they are embracing the sound of early 2000's pop rock when most of them were just born. lol I know I was definitely around, I was in university listening to that type of music. Love the song Time Out and Circus is so much fun.
Chan does have a solo song called 'I don't want to Admit/Acknowledge' if you ever react to that song please prepare tissues, it is very emotional🥺 and I've seen others comment on Changbin's 'Streetlight' & 'Cypher' so I'm also going to add in his cover of 'Tomorrow' when he firsts starts singing in that song, if you didn't already know it was Changbin then you'd never guess it. It amazes me every time I hear it
My Stay journey started years ago when watching other of JYP’s male groups 2pm and GOT7 (discovered kpop back in 2014 when in recovery from a life threatening illness) and one day in the background there was this group of youngsters fanboying over their hungs and I wondered who they might be. Looked into their music and found the home I’d been looking for musically but most importantly- the depth of the lyrics. I can confidently state that their music helped keep me alive. Even as an older Stay, it’s healthy to be reminded of the messages that Stray Kids sing. So I quietly listened and grew to love not just their music but they themselves. As Chani always says ‘we are going to be real for our fans’ and they are! So many of their songs give hope when there is darkness and this crazy world needs their light!!!
You are spot on about creating a different sounds, but still are SKZ with Circus. Releases for Japanese audience are less "intense" than their ones for the other audiences. Japanese fans are their second biggest fan base, hence you create the sounds to match the audience. 🙂
I knew you would love Circus! And yes Lee Know is a gorgeous man. Sad to say he was under my radar at first, but once you notice him it’s all over! As far as my journey goes, once I watched them on Kingdom I was hooked. Even if they don’t even know who you are, you still feel loved and special being their fan and I truly wish only the best for them.

Plus other songs with other members: - Piece by him and Seungmin - Cause I Like You by him and Felix - Up All Night by him, Chan, Seungmin and Felix. yes Chan is a workaholic, and Red Lights kinda talks about it and about how work is an obsession and compulsion for him. The songs I mentioned before, for example, are all arranged by him (2 only by him, 2 co-arranged). The man has 61 arranging credits, he's a beast. Streetlight is my favourite Changbin solo song! He also has a collab with Seungmin called “Piece” that is really good. I recommend you look through their Skz-Players and Skz-Records because they have a lot of solo and collab projects there :)
My Stay journey started when I watched the music video of Hellevator when it came out. Before Stray Kids, I was mostly just a huge kpop fangirl but when I listened to Hellevator, it was the first time I felt seen. It made me think that I wasn't the only one who felt a certain way. And to this day that's what their music feels like to me. Haven't looked back since then and no group is ever going to feel the same as Skz to me.
i really love how they just care for everyone and they make us apart of everything.They have been through a lot and I'm so glad that they can finally have a successful group.

Releasing a song called Circus ( with the circus theme in , no less) was honestly the biggest clownery they did to Stay ( in a good way ) . Like Stays have been calling the fandom a circus for years , cause they make us look like clowns a lot . Like for example they'll put spoilers everywhere , like in just random conversations in bbl even ( to the point that we're now suspicious of everything out of the ordinary, even typos 😅), or they'll do point move of their choreo with their hands while talking , and we realise they've been spoiling us all along when the comeback drops. Oh and Chan litterally rickrolled us...3 times.. pretending to play new songs . So for them to know release Circus , is the cherry on the cake 😂
I found Stray Kids on my Insta gram Reels, and it was just random funny edits and clips. Then I found out they could sing. So it's been down the rabbit hole since then.
