Thank you Mr. J! You just saved my life and made this concept so much more easier than how I was being taught! I will use this method forever!
same this is ike less steps too
@@sylviademarais if you using a calculator, you don't have to move the % over, when you do the division.
you solved my problem. I used to have advanced physics, calculus, trig, etc education but being 61 have forgotten so much. I needed to do a calculation for sausage. For example. I have 1.3 kg of lean meat. I need to have a ratio of 70 percent meat to 30 percent meat. I need to know how much fat to add. This is for making sausage. This will help me do it myself instead of asking google. My brain is working again. So Lean Meat × 100 ÷ 70 = Total product Weight. Total Product weight - Lean meat = fat required.
His explanation is so much better then my teacher ngl ❤
thank you Mr. J! You’re helping all of my problems right now thank you.
this is really good and well explained but the only problem is we cant use a calculater in our test even for this question so ths method didnt help much and im failing my maths exam again

Congrats for participating
:D
Why didnt you show the long division to 59.50 ÷ 0.70?
Thank you. It helped. 😊
Very helpful thanks 👍
could you show how you divide the decimal and the price
Is there a tutorial that you made that has finding the original price but instead of discount it’s tax for example, The school secretary orders a new printer and pays $310.30 after tax. The tax rate is 7%. What was the original price of the printer, thank you
lmaoo I had that question in my hw
And the answer is 288.58 yw
Simplest way of explanation. Thank you 🙏
Thanks Mr j, I never thought I would solve the problem until this.
I'm really thankful,Mr J💗
You made it easy to understand !✌️
I know right

Hello Mr J, i wish you see this comment.
I'm an upcoming CZcams Maths teacher, and I'm just amazed with your videos. I would like to find out how you make these videos in terms of gadgets or software.
Mr. J can you please make one with hangman method and a cluebored in division.
Wish you would do the work of the division problem as well
Thank you. It helped me too much!❤
Omg I just tried this out with something my professor gave me and it worked!
Can you pls do interpreting data
am i just stupid for not understanding AT ALL
I didn't understand that either
It took me time but I get it now your not stupid. Write the sale price then calculate the % value of the sale so the last example 112.41 divide by 0.45 ( that's what the sale price represents. because you calculated 100-55 =45%. So 112.41÷45 =249.80 and the answer was the original price
No not at all, keep up the work 🎉
Nah bro same, I’m meant to be smart but percentages just confuse my brain so much
Hii Mr. J! Can you please tell how to solve double discount problems when the sale price is given to find the original
59.50 ÷70% = 85.00
THANK U SM ITS 11:42pm AND I HAVE A QUIZ TMR SO TYSM
Thank you for this video it really help

Ooh i got it bro..I was also looking for the discount price that couldnt find in the solution because the topic was only about getting the original price..
I know now how the price get..
If the original price was $249.80 - $112.41 (sale price)= $137.39 is the discounted price of 55%😅😅😅😅
Ty
Sometimes we have to look up things to understand Math7
Super duper helpful ❤
Tnx😊

How to divide decimals?
Wait.. is 7 hours early? 😅
how is 0.70 and 59.50 85.00? explain pls
Mr. J vs Sal from khan academy
Hi, just confused of how it be the original price was $249.80..so if the original price is $249.80 the 50% was $124.90 and the 55% of that price suppose to be is $137.39?? How come that the discount price of 55% is 112.41???
Enlighten me pls..thank you..
Can i ask a question?
What if no discount
What about when its with tax instead of discount?
THe GOaT
I think number 1 is 8.5 because
Divide 59.50÷70=8.5
I thought i was wrong but i even checked the calculator😅
Goood
I don't know why I put the speed on 1.5 and I understand everything now I can do this in stores😅 I think the speed is my attention span
Mate just keep it simple
New sub
Hello
Thanks soo much u saved my sorry but 😂
What if it's the original number that you have and not the new value
100-30%. I got 99.7 so now I’m confused.
All your videos are super unhelpful, thanks.
Oh my god u r my angels
Wow
Came here for the long division of this problem and was disappointed
x=sale-price
d=discount IN DECIMAL for example 55% would be 0.55
x/(1-d)
For example from the video
x=59.50
d=0.30
x/(1-d) = 85
❤❤❤
