The Russian North is a unique region characterized by a harsh climate, vast expanses of forests, lakes and rivers, and many villages where people lead their own unique way of life.
Life in a village in the Russian North has its own peculiarities, which are determined by the geographical location and climatic conditions. Villages in the North are usually located far from large cities and civilization, which gives this place a special charming flavor.
One of the main spheres of activity of the villagers in the North is agriculture. Here they are engaged in growing vegetables and fruits, raising cattle and poultry. They strive to be self-sufficient by growing food on their land and utilizing the natural resources of the area.
Also, people in the Russian North are still passionate about hunting and fishing. Hunting in the North allows them to obtain meat and hides to make clothing and other items, and fishing provides them with fresh food.
Villages in the North have always been known for their folk crafts. Locals are engaged in wood carving, embroidery, weaving and lace making. These crafts are passed down from generation to generation, and each object created by the hands of craftsmen has its own uniqueness and soul.
Society in a village in the North is usually closely knit. Locals come together at common events such as festivals, fairs, sporting events and religious ceremonies. These events become a special occasion for neighborly bonding

By the way, we have a German village in Siberia, even with a German name, they produce very tasty dairy and meat products, which I love :)

I am amazed how similar this life looks to mine in Colorado… I stay home with my 3 children and cook everything from scratch (including bread,) so my days are similarly spent in the kitchen. My kids play outdoors (no screens) in much the same way these children do. We have family meals together around the dinner table. A simple and traditional lifestyle is admirable, and can be attained here in the USA. Thank you for sharing!

No books to be seen. Education in Rural Russia is a joke, just like in all rural settings. Their lifestyle is subsistence. We saw the Chinese/Western tools, and necesssities. Where is education? It's nowhere in sight. Reasoning? Complex thought? This is very quaint and very frightening.

Je vis dans une ville occidentale et ai une excellente alimentation. La nutrition n'est pas un privilège des paysans. Beaucoup de paysans sont malades par manque de connaissance. Et beaucoup de citadins mangent vraiment très bien, parce qu'ils cherchent la connaissance.
Je puis vous dire que les portugais, italiens et espagnols avec les français s'alimentent mieux que ces russes de la vidéo. La variété de légumes et fruits au Portugal et en Italie m'a toujours étonnée. Sans mentionner les poissons savoureux que leurs côtes nous offrent.
