- Traps are great and very useful in Unturned, though I never see people use them, every time a survivor finds a trap they usually throw it away, and they're never really crafted...hopefully that changes with this go to guide on each trap and why it is useful, some for bullying and some for base building. Hope you use these surviving tools more!!! And hope you enjoyed!!

It cant be in unturned because its too overpowered.
Traps can also be used on horde beacons too take out the mega and the normal zombies. I recommend using the spikes or the barbed wire on the mega instead of shooting it because shooting attracts players and it takes a lot of bullets to kill the mega.
yeah but u know when you rush a horde you usually dont have a suppressed gun so i will prbably use a chainsaw or another melee weapon and spikes to kill everything. but your idea was great i will try it next time. =D

traps aren't about being a bully at all. it is about out playing others and thinking 2 steps ahead. being a bully is just using brute force to hurt those weaker than you. using a trap requires tactics and planning. you aren't using brute force, you are using your brain.

I once put a lots of caltrops on a road logged in like a day ago and there was like 20 vehicles I LOVE THESE :D
You can stack spikes on top each other to deal more damage

Does armor reduce damage of traps sir cause I got on shooted by barbed wire
Tricks: Make a wooden base with a wooden door. The door should lead into a bush in the map. Hide 2 claymores there or wooden spikes in the bush. Use it as a fake entrance.
I was on a Freezzer PEI sandbox server with my friend and we were in the prison island. I was up on the top floor of the prison and when people broke into our doubledoor (pretty often), I would have 2 charges against the wall. When they come in and walk forward, I would detonate it and they would instantly die. It was more effective than a trap damage-wise, but I actually had to be watching for it to work, unlike a claymore/landmine or other trap.

Ikr, Once I made a base with no sentries, and barely any defence, I didn't even have to to defend it when it got raided because all the traps I had around it killed my raiders until they gave up.
Kameding can you make a video on the differences between armor values? The wikia says a military beret has .95 which is higher than a helmet's .85, and i'm confused.

problem with barbed wire fence is not many flat locations so most of the time people can crawl under :L

You should see my in town bases on creative servers, i drop fences, snares, landmines, i put pine spikes with barbed wire around it, Sentries, etc

Why do you say health when damage is dealt and damage when you heal yourself
getting sandbox server and putting 2 landmines in every bush :D
btw, you can use a snare on a base where you need to jump in order to access the main door.

The traps is very usefull if you khow how o use it correctly.Ya can also use it on killer vechile (RIP my spelling) traps like bared wire,bared wire wall,woden spikes very usefull to make offensive in front sides or rear of your car. Prop evey khow this already tho.

Back when I was an admin on a server I used to put land mines randomly all over the place whenever I was bored
Bear Trap + Barbed wire = Bleed, Bone Break, and Loads of Damage
I like spike traps cause I can use them for horde beacons on a military base tower

2 player server; friend declared war on me.
I got a ton of spikes, some snares, my PDW
Even with a plane, vehicles, and a P90 with a ton of ammo, he lost to me and I died 0 times.
My entire home was set up for defense with spikes, shutters, good glass and doors. I'm proud.

If you saw what I do with spikes. If you see a military base covered in 90% spikes, know that I was there
And there is one problem!! When group is chasing you and you blow up / kill somehow one guy others will know how you do it and they will look at the ground.
