  • In this cp tutorial video, we will be making cold process soap with banana. The recipe is shown on screen throughout the video and it makes a wonderful creamy bubbly lather which we show too. When making homemade soap with bananas there are a few differences in the techniques, so do check the video carefully. One great feature of this DIY banana soap recipe is that the natural sugars are transformed to help boost the bubbles and it adds a lovely silky feel too. It looks great with natural flecks to give us fabulous handmade bars that anyone can make at home. If you have never made soap before, always take the time to learn more about soap making with a beginner's course, soap book or other video training and always wear your safety equipment.

    I've made a banana soap before and used a chocolate fragrance, but I just bought a banana fragrance and will try this recipe and compare the two. The one I made was really bubbly and creamy like this one. 😀

    Thank you for sharing this lovely soap recipe. Im hoping to make this, but i only have crisp and dry block at the moment , not palm oil. Can i substitute that instead ,or do i need to put through soap calc ?
    I can't find crisp and dry in soap calc ?
    Thanks

    This soap is FAB! I'm trying it today. May you say where to get that mold? Love that shape. My one and two pound molds look different. Thank you for sharing.

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I got the blue molds shipped from S Korea online. Ebay and amazon may have something similar though

    I happen to stumble upon your videos, and they are amazing!!! And I’m new to trying to make soap, so I am so glad I found your videos!! But for this recipe what about oxidation? Do you need a preservative? What does the bar look like after curing time? ❤

    • @SoapSchoolUK
      @SoapSchoolUK  Před rokem +1

      Welcome! It does not require a preservative

    Gain, how do I adjust if not wanting to use palm oil pretty please xzz

    • @SoapSchoolUK

      You would need to use a palm free recipe or recalculate using a SAP calculator and adjust to ensure you have enough solid oils to firm the bar up.

    hi Sarah, is the red palm oil has the same saponification value as those whites that we buy from amazon or ebay? The red palm oil is not listed on the soapcalc. Thank you

    I am trying to create or copy this recipe into soap calc (and-or) my soap calculating program and both of them want add about another oz of water. Whether calculated in grams or ounces, they both want to add approximately another ounce of water. Super fat 5% lye solution strength 29%. I could super fat 6% and water discount 12% and then my figures line up with yours. Anybody else work the figures?

    I dont peel the banana. The peel is more nutritious than the fruit. The colour of the soap turns brown. It looks like chocolate.
