Morning Dusty. Trail cameras are a great idea on the Ponderosa! Looking forward to every Thursday now. Of course Sunday also. Thanks for sharing your adventures with the bisons and other critters.
Thanks Dusty for sharing your amazing herd , great job with the safe transfer and really appreciate all the time that you
Take to share your amazing animals. Stay safe. Blessings to you and your family đđđđđ
Looks like they are establishing the new pecking order. Thank you for taking us on your journey. đ
Appreciate how you take us along with you during a day. Always interesting!!
Looks like they'll be ok. They just learn their place in the herd. Sorry you lost Golden Nugget. Good luck with the chicks. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Great video. They will find their place in the herd soon enough. Big Joe is so handsome. Thanks for sharing. God bless â€.
Beautiful growing herd, looking forward to Hoss expanding his herd next year!
We envy you the rain. We've been getting small rains but could use several inches more. Hay's growing nicely but we're going to need more after the first cutting.
Big Joe looked so grand standing there hes awesome but my favorite is still Dunbar đ Enjoy watching the yearlings And the red dogs
Why are new calves called "red dogs"?
So basically you will have three bloodlines. You can rotate heifers and cows around to avoid to much inner breeding.
I remember when you only had six bison! Nice herd.
Sitting here with a smile on my face....listening to the crowing! LOL! All right all ready! Sounds like me with my dogs! Thanks for the video as always.
Next year, Hoss is going to be a busy young bull!! Checked his new girls out right away!!
Watching this guy; he makes it look possible to raise your own by yourself.
I'm sure he makes it look easier than it is. He's so upbeat and unflappable.
I wish you didn't have monosodium glutamate in your bison products. Love everything else! Thank you for sharing the bison and Brooks with us!
It is a instant migraine for me and I know a lot of other people that have reactions of some sort with it. I know it is fantastic for zipping up the flavourâŠjust not very healthy.
Great to see the two yearlings over to the Ponderosa how they are all getting to know the bison herd. đŠŹđŠŹđŠŹđŠŹ
They were happy to get out of the trailer. WOW your chickens are really getting big.
Looking forward to trail camera footage!
It is cute how the bison run up to the trailer to see "who's in there". They are a curious creature! Tails Up! đŠŹ
There is not a time when your uploads are uninteresting. Love to hear your reasoning behind what you do. Have a great day Dusty.
Awe, it looks like they love the rain. I bet it cools them off!
I just love watching them run and jump around like they are playing. 1O00 lb puppies! Haha 142 is a good girl. đ
Love the commentaryâŠgreat channel!
Call Eleanors little "big" bull Elibar...combination of Eleanor and Dunbar. And it's different.
I like that!đ
Good idea! I was thinking Elmer might fit his personality.
He will need to be sold so Dusty wonât have inbreeding, facts of livestock. Very common of ranch owners, dad switched out his bulls every 2 years. Or he needs to buy more females for that bull.
I love seeing your herds are growing. Great changes are being made and I think back to the original Dunbar herd and now seeing the larger number you have. You are doing great things to grow and become a better producing ranch.
I love these animals. I'm in Iowa and i believe we have a bison ranch near by so after watching a few of your videos I want to go visit it. I've learned so much about these amazing creatures from you already. Thanks for sharing what you do with us.
Looking forward to the trail cams. Enjoy all your videos of your ranch and family.
Dusty sometimes you just crack me up. You have a very hard job, you really enjoy what you do.
There they go. Love watching the bison on the move.đŠŹđŠŹđ
Look forward to the trail cameras. Doing great. Love watching.
Lol!!! That rooster sure made sure you heard him!!!! đđđ
They are such beautiful creatures. We saw them on Catalina Island. So awesome.
I like your birdhouse I like the multiple levels. Every farm needs a big birdhouse
Great video. Sorry about Nugget and some chick's. We use cam camera's on our chickens in the past to see what was attacking. We list quit a few chickens to raccoons, hawks, owls, fox, and neighbors dog. We always lock ours up at night time. Best of luck of getting the raccoon.
Good planning, beautiful herd!
It's good to see the growing herds. I was wondering when the Big Joe herd will get more females. It seems like he has a small herd compared to Hoss's herd.
Another fabulous video Dusty. Itâs fascinating to watch their behaviors and the drone adds another perspective. Hats off to you for another gem. Stay safe, stay well.
Sure do love seeing your bison doing bison things. lol They are beautiful!
A Guernsey milk cow for fresh milk and ice cream would be a good addition. Milk and milk fat among the best and they are really docile and gentle. Still seeing any wild hogs there?? If so, I'd love to come down and thin them out for you!!
I do like your Purple Martin bird house. Their fun to watch also. I've got one the birds will leave here in Georgia some time in July.Always enjoy watching your Bison. I know raising them is a living for you but your so dedicated to them!
whoa how cool, those trail cameras!!!! excited about that as well! I cannot wait!! Great job at moving those two brown critters!
Just watch a clip from Dec. 1 2020, about the Quapaw nation restoring the Quapaw bison. They spoke about the history and in the late 1800 there were only 300 bison left. I cried and then was so proud that you have Quapaw bison that you are saving and returning them to our land. America. Thank you for your gift of raising these most amazing animals. I love them and always have. I live in Calif. and we had a few herds of a dozen or so in Martinez Ca. we could see them from the freeway and in Folsom which you can also see them from the freeway. It's been many many years since they have been gone but its my most favorite memory. I will never forget them. Bless you and all who take care of these most amazing animals.
Thank you so much for the positive words. I love having them as part of our bison herds. They are great animals with a great history as well. Thank you for watching!
Good Morning! I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing and keeping us updated. â€
I enjoyed the opening shot of the bison in the rain!---Thanx for mentioning the martin house...any martins using it?
aww so sorry to here about the chickens. youll have to get brook a bunny or mini pony maybe a donkey poodle lol or all three HAHAHA! love what your doing and love what your teaching your little girl!!
I'm guessing you know that bison, buffalo are considered to have one soul? That is a very old belief of the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Same with wolves, they are parts of one group and don't change well. Love your channel and how you handle your animals. Vicky in đšđŠ
Great video. Love watching their behaviors. Do you have Fox around your property? They love going after chickens. Trail cams can record some awesome footage. Can't wait to see what you capture on film. Have a great Sunday!
Enjoyed the video this morning, looking forward to the trail cam clips. Stay safe and hugs from N.C..â€ïž
I love how you picked ONLY two new girls to take to the Ponderosa. HOSS looked very happy, but Big Joe NOT So Much. I think that they are going to blend in nicely with HOSS'S other girls. I do have to admit that I LOVE Hoss the more and more that I see him. Sorry about Golden Nugget! Trail cameras will help to see that is really out there! Love how much time you take to figure out what Bison are best where you put them !!
Oh, so Eleanor has had calves? I'm glad, she is so sweet. Love your gate! Interesting how everyone come to check out the new ones. Awesome animals... Oh that is too bad. Golden Nugget was so beautiful. Do you use livestock guardian dogs for bison? They would keep the raccoons and foxes and coyotes ... Yes, that is nice, they eat hundred of bugs, mosquitoes.
Rain is a blessing in surprise. Rain makes the grass grow bigger, inturn you don't have to worry about buying hay for the dry seasons. After turning the yearlings I wonder how long does it find the place in the herd. Looking forward to trail camera shots in the future. You cannot predict the future of the animals but your choice is your option when raising Bison.
It is! Very thankful for the rain
This is very nice to watch, how you work them alone. How they react with new ones being put into the herd.
Dusty are you going to separate the Dakota herd and Canadian herd when they reach 2 years old or keep them together and let Hoss breed with both herds ????
Hi Dusty. Great job working your bison. Great video. God bless and Love Ya'll đđđđ
It looks like the Hoss heard is your largest. It's conceivable that all of those calves could produce a baby. That would double the size of this heard in one calving season. That's awesome. I don't think a coon would bother the chickens it's not their habit. My first guess would be a coyote, they are notorios chicken killers. I don't your local but fox will do the same. We had fox in CO'
Eleanorâs baby boy is cute. Is he as friendly as his mother?
Dusty, my wife and I think that you should consider calling the âOriginalâ property âThe Dundarâ. You often refer to the importance that Dunbar has been to you starting the herd, so it is fitting that he be memorialized by the property being named after him!
I thought Big Joe was going to run jump the fence like a dog running to greet his owner when they come home. Ha hađ€Ł
Sorry about the chicken~it was a beautiful color golden. Can you find another one like it for Brooke? â€đ€đ
Livestock guardian dogs are definitely the way to go! :) I have a Great Pyr and she is awesome. She is great for intimidating and she is also very loving and calm. She has not had to kill anything yet, but I have no doubts that she could make quick work of a racoon.
Glad that they fit right in with the other herd. I can't wait to see what you will get on the farm.
Good to see you..take care..much love
Love your channel. I learn so much from you.
I really enjoy all your posts , Dusty . I'm sorry you lost Golden Nugget but I'm sure you're discover the culprit with your trail cameras.. Dunbar is looking good and he sure seems content in the wallow . Thank you for sharing . Be well , be safe and prosper .
Thanks for taking us along. Sorry about the Golden Nugget.
Nice herd you got there and I like your entrance there on the ponderosa.
I'm suggesting to name Eleanor's son "Rigby". :)
Clever!
Dusty your Rooster wanted his 5 minutes of fame too....LOL
Eleanor's son is getting Big and beautiful.
The big Bald spot that Dunbar stands on is his wallow spot and his spot to watch over all of the herd ?? Hope the girls get acclimated to the their new heard quickly.
Thanks for sharing Dusty.
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you, your family and your adventures.
Iâm enjoying going back through your older videos, itâs sweet too see Eleanor was the Princess even 2 years agoâŠ..she holds her crown đ high and steals all our hearts â€
Look forward to seeing that . Great job love your channel . Keep up the great videos.
Take care, Dusty !! Still enjoying your videos and hearing what your plans are for the future !!

The Ranch is just Beautiful Dusty. The Grass looks so Rich, and the Buffalo seems so Happy. I luv to see them Run around and enjoying the place. I am excited for All of them being very well taken care of. U Rick Dusty, especially as a young Producer. Thank u for sharing!
Thanks that was fun. âđ»đ
Wow Dusty! The logistics w/the gates & fence enclosures are Crazy!! Lots of work! You do an Amazing job! You are so Good w/your Bison! God Bless you & your family!
Love your videosđ!
I believe that you missed a great training possibility with the third yearling. I would have run her through the chutes and not let her run back through the 'back door'. By letting her run back the way she came in, you've trained her that that's the way to escape...đđđ€
Dusty,
This may not be an issue, but if they get too aggressive with the newcomers, hereâs an idea for you. If possible, spray the entire herd down with a hose. That way they all smell like wet bison. Another option would be to introduce them to the new heard while itâs raining.
We did this with gerbils in a pet store. When we had a group of gerbils and were introducing new gerbils into the cage, they would immediately start fighting. So, before they did, we would spray them down with a fine mist of water. If any were fighting, they stopped fighting immediately. They all smelled wet gerbils. It kind of neutralizes their scent. They got along great, after that.
My goodness look at the size of the herd!
A very good meet and greet with the new bison.
WTG. That IS hard work. Esp by yourself. Love watching you work.
I saw Lumpy. Do you still have plans for him? You do such a great job with your herd and it shows.
Eleanorâs First Born Bull! Hossâs Herd! The Group seems to be pretty chilled out about the two ones! Hoss is doing his job! The Yearlings are a great herd!
I binge watch your videos on and off every single day because of my love for the Bison :) The drone captures are totally incredible !!!!
You all out
R doing amazing
I kinda feel sorry for the New Bison theyâre trying so hard to get away from so many Bison !! I know if it was me , it would make me not real happy or feel safe . Love the chickens so sorry Brooks canât hold them. She is so cute hope to see her and your better half đhehe
Livestock Guardian Dogs would help with Predators around the Barn. I suggest 2 so they can work as a team against multiple Predators at a time. Also Hope you have a secure Coop in the Barn for Chickens to be in at night. Racoons will dig under walls if foundation is dirt to get to the Chickens. Just a thought. I think I now understand why you have so many Ladies with Hoss instead of putting the new Ladies in with Big Joe. Is it because of their Age? Just seems Hoss has lots more Ladies than Dunbar and Big Joe lol. God Bless and Peace from WV.
Loved the Video!!! đ€â„ïžđđŒ
Love this & can't wait to see trail camers
Great video. Youâre doing a fantastic job
Your sister has roosters that are driving her crazy .đ
It time I can not wait to here the music that you are to play. Enjoying the music and watching the Buffalo
