- With maceration actually you’re oxidising your fragrances! It is exactly the thing that the companies do before bottling fragrances, but sometimes because of marketing priorities they skip that phase or they don’t let it macerate for enough… that’s why most of tester bottles in stores last longer!

Im not sure for western made perfume but this is definitely true for ME perfumes the oxidation really helps with the performance
Creed?
You are right! I remember when I bought Ameer Al Oudh and Asad, after first spray I said to myself, what a lose. And I left these 2 fragrances on the shelf for about one month. And then, in one day I said I will take a risk and I'll wear one of this on my job. I thought that someone like Santa change the fragrances. They developed into something else, so nice smelling that definitely I will buy them again.
Correct. All my parfum from middle eastern houses improve by a lot (smell, performance) after a few months maceration.
Didn't work as much for designer fragrances
True fact, first spray always smells watered down and sometimes very alcoholic. Thats why some people thinks that testers have higher concentration. Avoid light and high temperatures at all costs!
👋🏻
Spraying it a few times before letting it sit is key
Exactly
You can also turn your bootle upside down and press aromatizer few times if there's a room for oxygen from bottling or your use previously.
Be aware, cheap aromatizers can leak (happened with Fragrance World bottle, CDNMI has solid aromatizer).
This happened with my bottles of Aramis Tobacco Reserve and Versace Eros. Now the strength is absolute beast mode! 😊

Maceration & Reformulation 🥺
I do more than 10 sprays. It needs more oxygen in the bottle. Use the bottle for a couple days space it out and then let it sit for 3-5 months
And nice smelling as well. Thanks for sharing! ❤
10 sprays is crazy. I usually do 2 or 3 on skin of its new then I set it aside
A useful step and information 🤜🏽🤛🏽 thx BOSS
Thank you for watching and writing brother 🤜🤛
Well, in many fragrances the oxidation will kill the top notes or make it milder and less sparkly. Also, it'll not smell as intended by the perfumer. Nonetheless, it works well with cheaper fragrances wherein the blend isn't of high grade.
No most of my fragrances got sytronger I can say creed aventus , silver mountain water , Acqua Di gio Profumo , La Nuit de homm
Hello Mehdi, great advice. SOTD AL HARAMAIN DETOUR NOIR
yes, that's right..I do that too..that if you keep it in a cool, dark place for a long time, it smells nice and soft..I did it near the iconic Armaf perfumer for 2 months..
Thank you so much for the tip, will try it with my zara gardenia.
this is true when I bought new perfume and I spray it it's smells not so good like alcoholy and the other notes are not present but If I I spray it like 5 spray then leave it and store on a dark place ,after few weeks it smell and I came back it smells more intense and amazing
True …. I’m not good at first impression as well
Wouldnt it be the same result as just spraying it for the first time and keep using it? Or do you have to let it sit untouched?
what i’m wondering
Let it untouched
With cap open or cap closed?
@@user-vg7dt1tx1o doesnt matter
I totally agree 👍.
What if you spray it let it sit for 2 weeks use it then let it sit another 2 weeks and use it again. Does that mess up the maceration process?
With cap open or cap closed?
it makes no difference
Ive heard you should spray it upside down, is this true?
If you don't want to waste the juice then you can do it that way.
😆😆
And if i have 80 Parfums ... and with Packeging or without?
After spraying you can keep it in package ( not sealed )
Can you still macerate if you've already used the fragrance many times, I've used my fragrance a little bit last summer and alot in this winter, as it's a winter fragrance and winter is finishing l, I'm not gonna use it in the upcoming summer and wait till winter to use it again so will that count as maceration?
If you already have used it for A long time I don’t believe will get any better … but try .
@@MehdiScent thanks man, love your videos
Is it strictly necessary to keep it in a cool and dry place and not use it? I'd like to do this but I still wanted to use the fragrance
Yes i my is! It’s better not to use it
Bought Sauvage Elixir 100ml from John Lewis and it performs really weak. Checked on other channels with perfume experts who claim that performance shouldn’t change much after purchase. People need to be made aware of this issue , stop purchasing it and hopefully it gets so big that Dior notice about it and do something. £161 is quite a steep price to pay for a perfume with weak performance.
Cannot use fragrance while maceration?
You can
Should maceration with cap or without cap?
Doesn’t matter
I actually leave the cap off with my DUAs and I did it with my D&G The One as well. Yes
💥👌🏽
👋🏻
It’s counter productive lmao you want me to spray 5-10 times each time before I spray it on myself? So weekly I’ll be wasting 35-70 sprays, 140 to 280 sprays wasted a month, all to have it last longer when I do actually spray it on myself? Pointless
It went over your head dude
Spray it 5-10 times and put it away and when you come back to it after a month or two you can use it normally..
Ahhh yeah I knew that, I was just making sure all of youuuuu guys knew that, fs give me some credit lmao
who hurt u bro “lmao”
you're as stupid as your name
