Since youve already gone up. Ill scare you now with the story of around 100 years ago. A few fishing vessels were heading up the liftlock when the water gate blew open causing all the water and boats to spill close to 55ft from the chamber. I dont believe anyone was killed from the accident. But they now have extra locking pins to prevent the chamber flood gates from opening until they are manually removed by staff. 😊
