    For the price, both beers offer good value. Glad to see any beer brewed to confirm to the German purity laws as, hopefully no artificial ingredients. Rheinbacher better taste in my opinion. Has actual flavour.

    I like the Aldi cans, always a decent inexpensive beverage. I haven't actually tried the Lidl one so I may well do the comparison myself one day

      I tend to like both Aldi and Lidl at different times Jon! But for the price and quality they are both decent and enjoyable. Thanks for your comment 👍🍻

    Alidi Pilsner is a great cheap bevvy. I always have a few tins in the fridge.

      Pros and Cons to both, but on balance, I definitely preferred the Aldi one. Thanks Jason 👍🍻

    I find the lidl version better due to a better aftertaste

    I know it's down to personal taste, but for me, Lidl has rarely disappointed me. Whereas Aldi has more than often really disappointed me. I'd love to do this same comparison, but Aldi is now off my places to shop. There are too many bad beers, and their food is just not quite up to the job either. After my last trip to Aldi, I have sworn never to return. It's a shame because Aldi is pretty much on my doorstep, and Lidl is at least 5 miles away. Also, for homebrewing, Lidl water has the mineral profile that allows the most adjustability for different beer styles.

      I like them both for different beers, it's nice now Lidl have started to get some permanent craft beers in and their Shark Bay is very decent indeed 👍

    rheinbacher used to be stronger and a lot better when it was! still much better than perlenbacher which have also changed abv for the worse😂

      Seems like it they way of the world Adam, they'll all end up like Table Beers at this rate 🤣

    I used to love the Aldi version but sometimes I’d get a horrible earthy taste, there’s a Lidl round the corner from work and I’ve been getting the Lidl version on a Friday when I finish for the weekend and it’s always been spot on

      Maybe my couple of Aldi cans hasn't given me a really good exposure any bad versions of this beer. Lidl and Aldi though were very close in taste IMHO 👍🍺

    A junk-beer review with a "slava ukraini" sticker attached to it - what might be the reasoning behind this choice?

    • @AndysBeerReviews
      @AndysBeerReviews  Před rokem

      Whoa! Let's not get personal about it!
      Choice of Aldi beer over Lidl OR my choice to support the Ukraine?

      😢I think this is a fair comment and question to ask. So WHOA to you. It is you who has politicised a CZcams beer review with the blue+yellow sign you have in the top corner. And if you cannot see this then it says more about you than that of others. Political views should be kept to one's self. Only found this by accident and I can assure you I won't be watching anymore. Not here for the politics
