Jonatha Grof as King George III hears that George Washington's replacement is going to be John Adams in Hamilton's! I know him. @isolatedfavorites5094
I don't know. The pronunciation of John Adams is very stereotypical American interpretation of an English accent... it's quite dodgy. The rest is good though

He was absolutely perfect in this role. His tiny changes in mannerisms throughout the song were spot on and his laugh is fantastic. Jonathan Groff did an interview where he talks about all of the research he did on King George III so he could portray him more accurately, and he was absolutely perfect.
This actor is my favorite his laugh had me dying I think this is by far my favorite musical the songs were amazing the actors were funny it was just like an all-out great play
I like him for various reasons but my favorite is because he said defending the mostly wrongly accused soldiers involved in the boston massacre was "one of the best pieces of service I ever rendered my country".
I expected so much of Hamilton when I saw it and was not disappointed, least all of all by this character. This musical deserves everything it has received.
I love all of the songs with this guy, the music and melody are so good!!! Especially the “oceans rise, empires faaaaal” And fun fact, the guy who plays the king is Kristoff in frozen
I LOVE Johnathan Groff ( king Gorge actor) he is such an AMAZING musical theatre actor!!! Off topic but my school did a production of little shop this past school year and the soundtrack that I listened to was the one the Jonathan groff was Seymour in that cast recording!!! I love him soo much ❤❤❤❤
When you watch it live, King George sits in the corner and giddily giggles all during the Adam’s Administration song (where everything kinda goes to shit)
I went to go see this at the Fox theater and it was so good. I laughed so hard whenever he came on so what happens is he will sit down and eat popcorn and watch the rest of the play. It’s so funny.
Would have been great if King George III was just lurking in the background with the chorus during big musical numbers but, alas, it only happened the once.

Honestly... this was one of the most fun parts of the Pandemic for me.. My husband and I watched this after the kids went to bed. We had done a pickup of liquor and just watched it silently together. Best play we ever say together. No overpriced drinks.. we werent too far away from the stage, and we could use the bathroom as we wished.
Absolutely perfect. This guy has the least time in the musical, and absolutely puts in the best performance
-And Peggy?
-Samuel seabury?
And the funniest tbh

54 reasons why I love Hamilton.
1. It’s funny
2. The actors are awesome
3. The songs are catchy
Hamilton wrote the other 51.

His laugh at the end and the fact that he was talking to "the bullet" the character that represents death really shows how he's gone absolutely mad

Yes! That's so cool. I wanna hear more about that

And it was true.
My favorite part too, hands down. Delights me every time
Adams would’ve had to be awful for the US citizens to “tear each other into pieces”.. but only one president was that abysmal, and that’s trumpf
SAMEEEEE LOL
Whispering in his ear is Ariana DuBose, oscar winner for Anita in West Side Story!
Thank you! 💃🏻

Lol I just found out he played Kristoff in Frozen. 🤯
Can't get over how he sings '85
The way he sings, "That poor man they're gonna eat him alive" gets me every time 🤣
Just the fact that this King George is the same one as the one in Queen Charlotte.

The acting is INCREDIBLE and his voice is soooo well supported. Seriously such an underrated actor
This is perfect. No matter hiw many times I listen to it it's brilliant.
This song and “you’ll be back” are incredibly fun. They’re the only Hamilton songs I care to view
He’s the only reason I enjoyed this musical. Truly did the mad king justice
This is the most wholesome man ever
every part of George's acting - perfect 😅
His songs are my favorite
I love him dancing in the Adam’s administration, barely included but his dancing draws attention
He sounds exactly like Stewie Griffin I can’t 😭😭😭

How I love this!!!!!
The insane tone to the voice tho 😘
The flash of the actual photograph of John Adam is taking me out😂
Love the frustration with the stool

He was our favorite in the show!
One of the great songs in this already stellar Broadway musical! He’s charismatic!
da-AHAHAHRHEHEHHAHHE
George III was my favourite character
❤️❤️❤️Jonathan Groff❤️❤️❤️
The only historically accurate character in Hamilton
The way he switches to singing through his teeth for a split second to show anger at 0:45 when she puts the stool in the wrong spot is so perfect
Washington was 6'2" at a time when the average height for men was 5'6", so literally they DID all look small. Such a clever line
