CAT, 22, from Ohio describes herself as 'emo scene', which is made up from “dark makeup, poofy hair and fishnet clothing”. It takes her around four hours to get ready every day and she wears “all the colours in the rainbow” but hates the colour brown because “it looks like mud”. She makes her own accessories and uses this subculture to express her creativity. Cat is now undergoing an 'Instagram glam' makeover - but will she like it? How will her fiancé and friends react to the new her?

She has an amazing support system ❤ I love all of those people who appreciate her for who she is no matter what she looks like. It was nice to see a transformation where they felt comfortable both ways and it really seemed to open up old wounds but in a good way. I just wanted to hug her when she was looking at herself in the mirror.

I think she looked beautiful and the look gave a good idea as to how she'd look with brown hair, but you could definitely tell her hair WAS a wig. These transformations are always interesting but more often than not, the wigs just don't look real. Anyways, I feel for her with the shoes, high heels like that are hard to wear if you are not practiced in wearing them. lol.. I know this was only posted 14 hours ago (as of this comment) but I would love a follow up to this one in like 6 months to see how much of this more 'normal' style she actually incorporates into her life.

I follow Cat on SM & already knew that she’s a very beautiful soul. I love her emo look but she also looked stunning after the transformation. I’m so sorry she endured such horrific abuse. Despite this, her videos always spread acceptance, love, kindness & being your authentic self. Her heart is even more beautiful than her gorgeous exterior! 💕

It's sweet how well her friends and boyfriend seem to know her. Tearing up seeing her in brown, because they realize she had to face some deep personal stuff in this process and they're happy to see her embracing the challenge. I also love her comment at the end, "It gives me more confidence in my natural beauty." What an impactful and healing experience.
Also love that the makeup artist showed up with rainbow hair. It's nice that this isn't about trying to make everyone look the same, but to try something new and learn something about yourself in the process.

Glad she had some healing through this experience. Girls get assaulted and then change the way they dress to deal with it. It changes you as a person. She was beautiful just the way she was she just felt safe trying to protect herself dressed like that. It’s sad how one creep can effect your life. I wish they didn’t exist but, unfortunately they do. I’m glad she can see how beautiful she is.

Aw she's so pretty. No matter what style she's wearing she's really pretty. I'm so glad this was a healing experience for her, and I'm glad that it gave her the confidence to branch out and explore other styles she can make her own. Sometimes through trauma, sometimes through stubbornness, or sometimes just through habit, we all get stuck in a rut of what we do and how we present ourselves every day. These habits can blind us to the idea that there are other things out there we can embrace and enjoy to help us feel confidently ourselves. No matter how much we love our own sense of style, I think it's important to try out new things to see if there are other things out there we can identify with, augment our own presentation and open up options to explore. As humans we are always evolving in ourselves, and I think it's important to step out of our comfort zone every so often to explore that evolution. This was a really heartwarming episode, and I hope she never wears heels like that again. Such a lovely girl.

Beautiful! That's a beautiful rich brown color....there's so many shades of brown to work with.
She should not blame herself for what happened. You can be completely educated about what not to do and what not to avoid and it could still happen. Just because people are educated about it doesn't prevent it from happening. She should never take the blame or responsibility for it. I am all for dressing modestly. But it should never be a reason to blame yourself for why it happened. Even modestly dressed people get assaulted.

This totally randomly showed up in my recommended, although it’s not the type of content I watch. I clicked out of curiosity only to learn something about myself from this young girl after 40 years of never being able to put it into words. I never wanted to dress up because I didn’t want men to look at me in the vile way they used to after being raped at 3 years old and sexually harassed in my 20’s and 30’s on multiple occasions. Wow!
