Mum using TikTok to educate about her son's rare hairy birthmark - CMN

Alyssa Huser's TikToks explaining and raising awareness about her son Jace’s rare hairy birthmarks (Congenital Melanocytic Naevus) have been going viral.
On her account, @OurJourneyWithJace, she details his condition, called CMN - a type of birthmark that appears on newborn babies.
1 in 100 newborns get small birthmarks; but CMN occurs for 1 in 500,000 children.

What we especially love about Alyssa's videos is how they are educating users about Jace's condition is such a warm and easy to understand way, spreading awareness and also removing prejudices.
And she is also helping to foster an online community of parents whose young kids may have these moles too, or adults who are sharing their experiences with nevus skin.
Alyssa explains that “our goal is to educate”, she says.
But sadly there have been negative comments too, which she turned into a TikTok: “This is just a fraction of the hurtful, insensitive things people have said; a few internet bullies will not stop us from accomplishing our goals”.
