I think the catfish like the workout as much as you do. They know you’ll release them back so they come out for a tussle. Sitting all day bores them after a while 😅. You must be wearing chain mail gloves, no? Also the cats really fight back at first but tire quickly and are docile as little lambs when you pull them up in short time. I wonder why? Are they actually tired or are they staying calm to explode with energy close in, where they will depend on using their barbs and long stickers in a struggle to the death with a predator?
