This is the start of one of their episodes from 1980, complete with the Thames opening titles. Ernie's had enough of Eric mucking about, so he's gone to "rent a giant" ho hire someone to make sure Eric behaves
Bloody hell, my Dad did body building with Big Dave "Ere!" Prowse back in the early seventies before he became REALLY famous, and here the old boy is, doing comedy with Eric and Ern. Magic.
This is my all-time favourite comedy sketch from 1980 with the late Dave Prowse, and also I like the actual opening with the instrumental version of Bring Me Sunshine, and I do remember they used to broadcast on Tuesday nights at 8:30 pm, and now I`ve got the complete first series by Network DVD, but I`d like to see series 2 to 4 again from 1981-83, and still brings me back memories of when this used to be broadcast on weekday evenings at 8:30 pm.
I met Dave Prowse at a Event In our Town In His Green Cross Code get up. He was Huge and so Tall. Iasked Him about being Britain's Strongest Man and doing an Advert Pitting His strength against a Washer Drier. He had to Ring out Towels to ad dry as He could. Nut It still says the this Washer/Drier can dry Towels better than the Strongest Man In Britain. He said the best bit was He got one Fitted for Free. I have never seen that add since I know It was In Black and White so circa 1972.
The best double act we ever produced. All this and Darth Vadar too. ❤
I agree. I know this may cause some controversy, but I can't think of a single double act performing today that can hold a candle to these two.
All my childhood heroes are sadly passing away. Rip Dave
absoloutly brilliant! this comedy will never die!
Dave prowse will live forever. A true legend and the greatest villain in history
The greatest comedy team of all time!
Ernie just get picked up and carried away by Darth Vader's body?
BRILLIANT!!
"I've just been attacked by a block of high-rise flats!"
I loved these two men

wow, he looks even taller compared to those two! Go, Dave!
lol classic....esp when eric shouts getting angry about reading the script! luv this!
This would've been right in the middle of the Star Wars hype, too
Rip Dave Prowse
Seeing Darth Vader as a bouncer in a traditional, English sweater is oddly fulfilling.
Eric and Ernie meet Darth Vader!
