    Very interesting how the EPA is supposedly "considering" whether to make it legal for domestic use, yet last year it was found in 80% of people that were tested for it, who were getting constant exposure (meaning it's in the majority of wheat/flour products). Gotta' love the honesty and transparency of Federal bureaucracy.

      It has not been proven that the substance affects humans in the same way the studies cited by the EWG found it does lab animals, and there are other studies that have found chlormequat had no effect on reproduction in pigs or mice, or any impact on fertilization rates in mice.

    • @Tad-zh4wr
      @Tad-zh4wr Před 2 měsíci +2

      Chlormequat has not been approved for use on food crops grown in the U.S., according to the EWG, but it can be found in oats and oat products from other countries. Under the Trump administration, the Environmental Protection Agency started allowing imports of such products into the U.S., the EWG noted, which is why chlormequat can be found in some cereals sold in this country.

    • @DonYuJuana
      @DonYuJuana Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@Tad-zh4wr I like how you attempted to delegitimize concerns; that somehow, because it has only been tested on animals, it's somehow unreasonable to suspect it would be harmful to humans. And, then, masterfully saying "well... Trump allowed products sprayed with it, into the country!", as though every administration isn't picking through shortlists of highly corrupt executive branch heads, like the EPA and FDA. How's the current admin working to prohibit the chemical and food products contaminated with this poison, absolutely? I'm sure you're a thoughtfully concerned but open-minded citizen, and not a corporate shill, in the slightest.

    Don't forget about glyphosate. Glyphosate is in regular wheat products ( not organic) from the USA. It's in Roundup - a weed killer. It's sprayed on a wheat field before harvesting. It makes the wheat dry up so it makes for smooth harvesting. It doesn't wash off. I haven't consumed in a long time... the last time, I got extremely sick ... excruciating cramps and other digestive issues.
