    Print quality looked ROUGH on the K2 Plus. I'll give benefit of the doubt that it's trade show issues with people opening and closing the door and such, but come on. Creality really needs to not half ass this printer. The K1 series has so many design flaws, especially the extruder. The Elegoo Centauri Carbon looks like it could be good, but why the dark glass? Come on. If it can run stock Klipper and it's open source that's still a huge pro for me over Bambu Lab. Price definitely matters, because right now Qidi is my top choice for sure, and I doubt Elegoo will change that. Great coverage in general! I'd love to see more pellet printers too. Def want a scanner soon as well.

    The Elegoo Centauri certainly looks interesting - my problem with them has always been that they absolutely swore _blind_ that they weren't going to make a bigger Neptune 4 printer, so we all bought the standard ones, and then...boom, 4 Plus and 4 Max a few months later. So...won't be buying the Centauri Carbon, I'll be waiting for the CC Plus. Hell, they might even beat Bambu to building a bigger P1S.

    I've had my PRUSA XL up and running now for about 2 months and while it's certainly not for everyone because of the price point, the ability to do large one piece prints for cosplay is a true game changer. The only other printer I've ever owned was a PRUSA i3 Mark 3 that has 3,800 hrs on it and even though I did full Mando, Bo Katan, Dalek and weapons like the Amban pulse rifle and heavy infantry tri barrel on it the increase in capability of XL is hard to comprehend. I have started a full Halo MC armor build and the first thing I did was print the helmet in one piece. My Mando helmet was 9 pieces. If you can afford it the 5 tool head XL could be the last printer you'll ever need if you're a cosplayer ...

    3d printing companies need to stop using tiny radial fans for chamber and aux-like fans. This needs to stop. If possible, even the part fan could perhaps have a slightly larger fan by redirecting the airflow. Even just increasing the radius of the fan by 10-20% you'd get an exponentially higher airflow or as we are interested in - the same airflow with lower RPM/decibels.

Only things that need doing after you get it out the box and out the gantry on is just to tighten up the leadscrews. The is one guy in my locale who is making something that does the breakdown and reuse of excess plastics or other material blends. Manuel Maeder, see one of his recent videos on it.

    Thanks for the updates. Looking forward to a new, bigger Bambulab printer.
    Can you elaborate a bit more on the metal printers? Or point me in the right direction? I don’t suppose you will be able buy spools of metal and print things on a tabletop machine.

    I was originally thinking of getting a ender 3 max neo or a p1p but the centauri carbon just seems better if it’s that price

    I'm surprised there was no resin printing mentioned. Do you think the industry is moving away from resin? or is it more of an issue with ventilation on showroom floor?

      @@Rambunctioyes anycubic is mentioned. But he shows their FDM multicolor printer. Which is part of the reason I asked is this the direction the industry might be taking. I haven’t watched others’ videos on the event yet so there is a chance I’m missing something.

    Hey I was looking at getting a big build plate printer that ain’t super duper slow. What would you suggest? I’m looking at the elegoo Neptune 3 max or the anycubic kobra 2 max. Or should I wait till the new big bambu labs? I have a p1s and absolutely love it

    Plenty of stuff to be excited about and quite a few Bambu clones incoming, which is not bad, competition will keep Bambu on their toes and make them keep innovating, or at least lowering the prices. I love my P1P but I would love one with a 300x300x300mm build volume. 😃 Any pricing info about that Revopoint 3D scanner?

      If I'm being honest, all this copy and pasting is dumb. It seems like Prusa is the only company doing their own thing while Elegoo, Creality and Bambu are chasing each others coattails.

      @FranklyBuilt Před 14 dny +1

      Unfortunately prusa isn’t. They are but not in the hobbyist realm. Bambu is the leaders now and everyone else is playing catchup. Prusa needs to fix there whole model to compete bow

      P1s is tried and true. I own 4 and have put 2000 hours into each of them without issue. Most I've replaced is one extruder and a couple nozzles but I iron everything so it wears quicker.
