I find it ironic that he is called “Sunshine “ because he looks similar to the actor who played Ronnie Bass in Remember the Titans. Ronnie “Sunshine” Bass played QB for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Clemson’s in State rival.
This is why I have always preferred the name "Sunrise" over sunshine so we don't have to relate the Almighty Trevor Lawrence to anything South Carolina Gamecucks.
Trevor is the best QB in college football and would be the first player taken in the draft if he was coming out this year.
No doubt he is great more like amazing but I would say yet. Once he have more experiences will make him a bigger monster than he is now.
He will be 1st overall 2021

Trevor Lawrence has had nothing but belief in him as the consensus #1 highschool quarterback, Despite the hype, he's lived up to it. The more people believe, the better he plays. Joe Burrow on the other hand has been doubted his whole career and used doubt to fuel him. He plays like he's got something to prove. Both of them are amazing QB's I can't wait to see how they play in the league

Ppl respect Clemson's program but let's not act like they had to battle to get where they are. Strength of schedule matter being battle tested and playing against top rank teams matters. Outta all the playoffs teams Clemson has had the easiest path to the playoffs
One Punch Pelican I think a hand full of people who aren’t fans of them respect their program. Yeah they had a easy year this year but they can’t help how bad their conference was and they scheduled cupcakes just like Oregon probably should’ve done. If they did, they’d probably be in the playoff. Regardless, you’re right that strength of schedule matters, but when you’re as good as Clemson is, you’ll be ready for any challenge like Ohio State is and will be.
Alabama is a damn good team with a lot of weapons but they lost twice and yes Clemson is good but this isn't the same Clemson team from last year. Even if their conference is weak that could have scheduled better nonconference teams to play against. I personally like Clemson but they won't beat Ohio State

From a devout LSU fan I can say that this young man is a superstar. He has a bright future. I’d say because he isn’t draft eligible yet he is the top NFL prospect in college football right now. Future Heisman winner for sure.

I think Carolina will have a good chance to pick him up in the 2021 draft if he declares. No way Carolina does well next year with new coaching staff imo. So highly likely they will get a high draft pick or at least high enough to trade up if they wanted. If we're smart we'll pick up Tee Higgins this year in preparation so we'll have a good wide receiver who already has chemistry with Lawrence.

But people who hype him up as an all pro NFL qb right now are getting ahead of themselves.
He had 0 passing TDs against NDs starters on defense.
And Alabamas defensive backs got beat bad by his receivers and missed assignments all night in that game. (Also he got lucky on a couple passes that probably should've been picks)
Still he played a very very good season as a true freshman and is better this year. He definitely has the potential to be crazy good and is already elite. I hate that I have to cheer for Clemson and LSU to win to get to see Joe Burrow vs Trevor Lawrence. Seeing either of those teams win a Natty will mean months of their coach being annoying. But Burrow vs Lawrence may be worth it that could be legendary.

Idk I think Bama brand is overvalued because Bama in my OP hasn't been as good or dominant defensively since 2016. 2017 and beyond they been a offensive team. Not taking anything from Lawrence but it's not like he faced those Bama defenses in 2015 or 2012 or 2011 all won nattys

They allowed 6 points in the playoffs to a Clemson offense that averaged over 30 ppg.
That was stastically the best defense in Alabama history (adjusting for opponent offenses)
2018 was the drop year, but they also lost Pruitt and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
To be honest they lost a lot in 2018 and 2019 was a year of major injuries at key positions.
Dolphins need to show restraint and not reach for QB next year. Instead they should stockpile picks to ensure they get this guy

Other teams always get bashed for strength of schedule so why should they be different. I really like Clemson's program and I'm a LSU man but they've had a very week schedule and hasn't been challenged all year that can hurt you in the long run just ask the Alabama fans.

I really don't get how Fields is getting more hype than Trevor right now. Just because the acc took a big hit this year doesn't just change the fact that he literally destroyed Alabama last year. Don't get me wrong fields is good and Ohio State probably is slightly better than Clemson overall this year, but he is not as good as Trevor. Trevor makes beautiful throws. That being said Joe Burrow is the best quarterback in college football this year, and Lsu will win it all. Good luck Clemson Tigers!

To the folks who wanna say he gets bailed out by his receivers: that's not how that argument works. What Trevor does is throw his specific guys open. Look at 1:28 and 3:33. Those throws are ridiculously high off the ground when they're caught, meaning they're lower risk throws than they look. And why are they so high? Because Trevor knows he has the best jump ball receiver in the country. Any good QB we want to talk about is gonna have great receivers. A great QB has to know how to throw to his guys, and TL does that with pinpoint accuracy.
