  • Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has told Sky his billionaire rival Sir Richard Branson should not be given a government bailout to save Virgin Atlantic.
Mr O'Leary also said the airline industry could be up and flying by June or July, but he rubbished social distancing proposals for planes.

@@MrPhelimdoran People like to complain about Ryanair; however, they offer many the opportunity to travel who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. Nothing wrong with free advertising; means your flights are cheaper! They've improved significantly on the refund front over the past decade or so and have a very clear refund policy. Coronavirus has hit all airlines equally when it comes to refunds and extended waiting times. MOL likes to occasionally down play climate change but at least he does it using facts. I'm not saying that we shouldn't look after the environment (we absolutely should) but there are many more industries that put out a much higher volume of green house gas emissions whilst gaining less reward. Aviation is one of the most efficient industries out there and trust me, if airlines could have more efficient planes and pay a lower price for fuel, they would. Just wanted to bring up these few points.
