  • The Power Queen 12.8V 100Ah Premium II Mini battery : can it become my next Ham Radio Field Day battery? Can I power my transceiver up with it? Or, could I replace my old lead-acid camper van’s house battery with it? That’s what I’m trying to find out testing this product from the Power Queen company.

Great review, I have a small 6ah power queen I have have just over 1 year. I used it for field day this year to power my Yaesu FT817nd QRP radio. It again performed flawlessly.

Thanks for the great test. I use a 30 AH for my VKFF activations, and it works great.

I have added a LiFPo4 battery to my portable ham kit.. I still have a small 12 volt gel-cell but it is not my main battery now, it runs lights and other non-radio gear on my outings.

    Nice Review/Test..
It would be interesting to see what a 5A continuous load provides.?
Maybe a bit more time, The BMS will not be getting quite as warm...
