Wasn't expecting this but it was a welcome surprise :-)
Nice seeing the amount of work that goes into these songs, also nice dog.
Hehe! Thank you so much for watching and I have to say... I agree that Thorpy is such a nice sweet dog. hehehee! :D
Lots of love and giggles, Maluka. Be safe
I LIVE for behind the scenes videos like thisssss 🤍
Love these behind the scenes videos! I think the post-mortem approach worked really well. The analysis and explanation after the fact was very interesting and informative. It doesn't always need to be captured "in the moment."
Love the behind the scenes! great to see the creative process behind the magic
I love how raw this is! your personality shines through everything, it makes it a masterpiece nonetheless!!!
The breathy layer added so much to the overall mix!
Any day is instantly better when malukah and thor grace us with their presence
You never fail to brighten my day. All these years and I still grin when I see that you have updated. Thank you for sharing with us.
Cute, charming, sweet and talented as ever! Imho yours is one of the most underrated and underappreciated channels in existence.
I could sit and listen to your covers all day long, but I really love your behind the scenes videos - always awesome to see the magic (and Thor!) behind the brilliance!
Really appreciative of these BTS videos. Besides how interesting the content is, it scratches a bit of that Twitch itch.
Thank you, Brynela!
Thanks for sharing it! It is always interesting how masterpieces were created ❤️
oh my God!!!! this girl have great Talent
you know, It's so nice to see behind the curtain and a shortened version of this process, just for those who ask too, not just because Miss Malukah here wants to.
I like breathy. It's very calming.
It's called layering. I was fascinated with it back when I was first introduced to Enya's music. After she left Clanad (her family band) she had to find a way to have the sound of many people. From Orinoco Flow to Caribbean Blue, she layered her voice and it was magical. I started experimenting with the idea myself when I was 19, (45 now) but I am far from a singer. I stuck with instruments instead. At least they didn't sound like cat dying. Yeah, I was that bad. Good stuff young lady. Keep up the good work.
Very interesting! It was fun watching you trying to "shape" your vocals to sound different. Hoping there will be more.
I hope so, too! Super fun to get to go over the process!
Behind the scenes are so nice to watch!!! Good job Malu!! :)
Thank you so much!
I can see Thor really puts an effort to your projects, important part of the process :)
I love watching the creative process! Thanks for the peek.
So cool to see the creative process in action
You're awesome Malukah! Very happy to see your career has done very well since the beginning.
Thank you for saying that, James!
When a musician reveals magic, the world gets more beautiful. Malukah, what you did with Skyrim is enough to prove how good you are at this. I'm glad that such Song received the well deserved justice.
I can't stop saying, thank you so much for such service. I sometimes ask myself, what I have done to receive such a gift.....
Cool beans! Watching you go through your process, talking about pitching your vocals as to not cause constructive interference and seeing your DAW session with the forms, automations, channel pannings and such!
Makes me really miss the trial and tribulations of editing, mixing, or pretty much the whole post production process :)
Anywho thanks for the nostalgia trip and this awesome "post-mortem" look into your work! Can't wait to see and hear what's next! :D
Good stuff. Thank you.
It is really great to see and understand the work that goes into creating a masterpiece, thank you!
YES!! So happy to see another BTS video! Its so fascinating to see how you make these
Thanks, Alex! :D
This was really fascinating to watch thanks for sharing your process with us!
This is ridiculously charming.
Nice to see the creation process
Love watching this behind the scenes vlogs you are doing and is also great to know that doing them help you to make your work hours productive as well
Love vids like this, thanks Malu! ❤
this video just convinced me about your genius, i think it is very enough to say... epic
Fascinating...
The "pretended to be a man" part cracked me up. Great job on the song!
I really like these behind the scenes videos. They show how much work goes into putting a song together.
That was both unexpectedly hilarious and informative :D
The gymnastics you're able to pull off with your voice are something else! Also, knowing the process that led to arriving at a cover makes me appreciate the cover itself more... So thanks for sharing *both* the cover, and - perhaps even more so? - the BTS!
I absolutely cannot wait for Dragon Age 4 to come out so that you can cover its beautiful music!! You make every song i've heard even greater.
always so super
Malu, you're an absolute inspiration and gorgeous singer. Thank you for all the time and effort you're putting into your projects and videos.
1.2k like but only one dislike, this is the most epic video ive ever seen.
Your voice is so beautiful and so are you, thankyou for the song of the dragon born.😔😊
very cool to see behind the scenes stuff :D
Great video Malukah :D Nice to see that You use the parts that, as You said, You wouldn' t use on their own, but together they create an amazing tone for the song :D Cheers!
Awesome!!!
Sharing this video with my friends! Amazing! 👍
Wow, if you had started with the last part, before breaking it down, I would have wondered who you did a collaboration with..
You have a very thorough grasp of vocalism/vocalization.. No wonder your music is loved by so many.. Top notch!
I really liked seeing your process and your challenges & solutions. It makes me feel like I should actually get around to making a song at some point (I have so many ideas beyond my skill/lack of skill)
Wow this is great! I’m just really starting to record and this information is very valuable so thank you for sharing!
8:33 Blushing about being a bass... lolol. I love it! Great work and thanks for the glimpse into your process!!
Very nice Video, keep going, i really like your songs and thoose "Behind the Scenes" Videos are always nice to watch :)
The amount of amazing work you put into this - so much love! And it came at a great time - work has been getting a bit toxic where I am at, so this greatly cheered me up. Thanks for all you do!
Love your vids have been watching since ur first skyrim song
You have a very different look in your eyes when you're working like this. Its like a fierce determination.
I love the behind the scenens ep.
It's really intresting to the your process behind the song.
For the last few days I've had "Thor the chocolate lab" in my head 😄
Absolute magic, Malu; you were always awesome, but with your growing control new dimensions are being added to your work. Whilst that 2:35 note is right at the bottom of your range, I believe that one day you will be able to sing it. Your technique is awesome! I should be sleeping ...😴
Give Thor a hug from me and the rest of your fans in the UK.
Nicely done! Your choral emulation was excellent. As a bass choral singer, it was interesting to see your process for this. The elderly female vocalist (and I know many) will typically still retain their vocal strength, but their vibrato will slow and the amplitude will increase, becoming more warbley. I love your behind-the-score videos like this. Thank you so much.
I love breathy Luca. ❤❤❤
I really liked this :)
This is very good!
Thank you, Nix!
the best voice ever!!!
Thank you!
I didn't understand a thing! But LADY REVEEEEEEERB is always a pleasure to listen to, mostly when she multiplies herself! :DDD
Hi i am from Germany :) i like your 3. voice so much more ...its the best :)
Wow I could not tell you are Mexican at all.
Surprising, informative and inspiring! Thumbs up.
Also very helpful for people without any friends
(who can sing). ;-)
Love this! Love the BTS stuff, plus I find myself missing My Queen. .....
Miss you guys, too!!! :D
Very interesting! And funny lol
As I was watching your creative technique and demonstration of the process, I had a flood of images of the late, great Karen Carpenter, over dubbing in the recording studio... and you dear, having the advantage of a home studio to implement your ideas, at will. Then, I had an image of you calling it a night.. and with that, your assigned angel slips out of the room and goes to the spiritual cafe to meet up with other angels taking a break. As your angel joins the others, he is greeted by, "Did Malukah nail that pitch she was trying for?" Your angel's reply blew me away, " The child within, assisted with the lower range'.., and then said, "I have the best assignment ever".
Malukah you are amazing♥ :')
You are too kind!
I like seeing your creative process! You have amazing talent - you make this all look and sound so natural. Also, moar snuggles for Thor :)
Hahaha! Will do, I will give Thor a big hug from you! :D Thanks for watching@
❤️
its amazing, work behind ia always cool
Yaaay! Glad you enjoy these vids! :)
♥️ one for you & ❤️ one for Thor 🥰
Hahahaha! Awesome. Thank you from both of us!
So in other words; if you do all of the things a singing teacher will tell you not to do, but on purpose and one at a time, then play them all back together as back up for your normal singing voice, you sound awesome.
Hahaha! Exactly. :D
Can’t wait to hear what you’ve been working on for the next Black Ops game🙃🙂🙃
Hehe! I hope, hope, hoooope they invite me back for something. It was an incredible experience to work with them in the past. I love Kevin and his music and his whole crew! And Elena and Clark! Everyoooone!
Malukah I’m 100% sure they will! Where are we going and Always Running are my absolute favourite songs from the entire series. Can’t wait to hear more!!!!🤩
I would love to see you giving a try to "WE ALL LIFT TOGETHER" from WARFRAME.
Hey malukah new subscriber, found you in the song (one more time) really love it and will watch your videos
Welcome, Ignacio! Thank you so much for listening!
@@malufenix you have a beautiful voice. The song is in my top 5. Keep it up 2ithbwhat you do. Much love 👍
Hi.. I don't understand why I just got this video 10 minutes ago. But people have commented over a week ago...I love all of your music ..
Hey Terry! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked the music. I shared these videos (the behind the scenes and the cover) with supporters on Patreon a week ago. Hehe! It's one of the perks to get a sneak peak before they go live publicly.
Thank you for such an interesting video. You have the best voice! :з
Lol you named your dog Thor! Love it. I named my car Freyja!! I even contacted a guy who makes strut bars that cross over the engine. He said no problem having her name over the engine with Norse runes on both side.
Also my cats official name at the vet is Spartan-117 from Halo. But of course we just call him Spartan. Don't stop making music!! Ive been following you for years. On Spotify as well.
Such beautiful eyes.
I love behind the scenes and we also get to see Thor! Yea placement can be a real pain to get it right. People don't realize how huge of a role it plays. You do awesome and it's so fascinating to see how the songs come together. Love ya girl. ~ Senefra
Hey Senefra! hahaha! Yeah, Thor is always the highlight of these vids for me. I need to figure out how to include more clips of him hehehe! :D Thank you so much for watching!!
Malukah if you could hear a cover of one of your songs, which one would you like to hear?
@@caratalkowski969 Ayyyyyy this is tough... Maybe In the Darkness... hmmm....
Malukah I'll make a video for you in a few days. 🤗Should I share on your FB?
I imagine you could modify the one track to emphasize different parts without having to record it so many times. However, it does show in the end that you put forth extra effort to make it sound real.
I wish you big success in your career, and let the Перун be with you.
You make me want to play Dragon Age. Again :)
LEXX (TV Series) - Full Composition (If You Can - You're Super)
some of the vocals sound like edge of night from LOTR!
There's a similarity in the first few notes!
Yeah! What I hear? Dragon Age Inquisition on Your workshop. Nice... VERY NICE!!! Good day.
Please forgive me if this question sounds stupid: Wouldn't it be easier to sing in a voice and vocal range you're comfortable with, and then transpose and/or add effects to the recorded voice track to generate the desired choir effect? I know there's some quite good software out there on the market, although quite expensive I assume.
Not to say the effort you put into this wonderful arrangement isn't appreciated. On the contrary, the song sounds wonderful!
That's the method commonly used by pop "artist". Luca is a real artist and creates real performances. I imagine that she would not want to overuse software in the fashion you describe.
Hey Wolf! Yeeees! well... I don't know if it would be easier, as the processing itself would take time, too. But, I am super curious to try this using software in a future project. There's a setting you can alter called Formants and this changes the harmonics of the sound. I remember years ago I tried it but wasn't happy with the results. BUT, it's something I think I could learn and improve on and definitely curious to try it! Thanks for watching and for asking!!!
veranet That thought also crossed my mind. But there does exist a healthy balance between old-school and new age.
I think what you’re referring to is “auto-tune” which is not what I meant. The principle might be similar yes, but it can also be used to achieve certain effects beyond “singing” correctly. 😉
Malukah Nothing is easy at the beginning. I have learned this many times now, most recently with learning to play the piano and also learning Spanish. 😉 One could say that one of your earlier songs were one of the pebbles that started my journey of learning the piano.
Anyway, I think with today’s software almost anything is possible, assuming one is willing to dish out lots of money for the programs. Heck, even sound design and sound engineering already exist at universities.
There’s always some pros and cons of digital and acoustic. I do have a Roland Keyboard and a Bösendorfer acoustic grand at home. Yes acoustic generally sounds better, but you can add so many fun and useful things with a keyboard as well.
@@wolflone249 Yup, that's what I was thinking. Too many pop singers abuse that tool. Thanks for the clarification. 🙂
Malukah should show up as a bard in some sword and sorcery triple A games. Can some game company turn her into an in-game bard npc??
‘Ahhh this is Malukah circa 2011’ 😂
not only is she amazing but now i got the urge to play Dragon Age again
Is reignite on Spotify?
Yes it is, since earlier this year.
