If homosexual individuals don't have kids and so pass their genes on to future generations, how does homosexuality persist? This may seem like an evolutionary paradox, but homosexuality is so widespread in the animal kingdom that there must be explanations. In honor of Pride Month, I discuss here a few of the hypotheses that explain the evolution of homosexuality.

It's a bit simplistic to compare human behavior to animals. There are no genetic markers for homosexuality....
Well, first off, humans are animals, so discussing us all together does make sense. Secondly, I agree that care should be used when using terms, but however you define it, same-sex sexual interactions occur in a huge range of species, so exploring the evolutionary and adaptive reasons for this can be instructive.
@@ABirdingNaturalist human social, psychological, sexual, and behavioral activities are far more complex and involved than any species that has ever been on this globe. Distilling that down to "we are all animals" is ignorant at best. An amoeba is an animal, and probably has the equivalent of your intelligence if you want to draw similarities between humans and animals. Stop being basic.
@jrmyaya81 Hilarious. Amoeba are actually not animals. Most belong to the protists. And humans really are animals. What measurements are you using to claim humans are more complex than any other animal? That seems like a hard thing to prove.
@@ABirdingNaturalist they are considered "animal like protist".... Because they move and consume food, duh. If you believe humans are not more complex with the previously discussed categories, you really are a simple creature, very amoeba like.
@jrmyaya81 Exactly. You just said it yourself. "Animal like protists" meaning they are protists (which are not animals), but they have some characteristics that sort of look like animal characteristics.

Male or female is determined by gender located in the soul not sex characteristics.

Gender has no DNA marker. The soul enters the body at birth when a baby takes its first breath.
That's how a set of identical twins can have the same DNA, the same sex, but be opposite in gender.
JESUS was TRANSGENDER 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈, a female man returning as a dark-skinned female woman in a lesbian relationship with a male woman.
There's plenty of other ways to procreate and have children other than a man and a woman.

@elijahmarie77444 See, there I disagree. I don't see sufficient evidence that the bible is fact. Actually, I see the bible being wrong,quite a bit. And the threat of eternal damnation is amoral, so that's one good example of how the bible is wrong.

The soul has no gender
Gender is only related to the body (sex)
