Yes, I've made yoyos, but not with a tool. I also taught two of my nieces how to make them, too, a long time ago! Mine has not arrived, but it's scheduled for Saturday delivery. What does one do with such a small quilt? A wall hanging for next December, or I guess it could be the center of a larger quilt with added borders which is what I would probably do. My walls are FULL! This bag is August so there should be four more.
Thanks for sharing! I can't keep the shipments straight. I know she has a better solution going forward. I like the idea of the snowman being the center for a larger quilt, but you probably would not use the buttons or yoyos unless it's hanging,

As a newbie I don't know all the lingo yet. What is a yoyo?
I yoyo is a round, gathered piece of fabric, similar to a pom pom but with fabric. It is made with a template and is great as an embellishment. It's not typically part of the actual construction of a quilt. In this project, it is used to make the snowman's buttons.
It would be nice if you could switch your camera down to show us what is in the box.
