This is something that has kind of irritated me about the Star Wars movies. You have this vast and ancient galaxy, filled with a huge variety of characters and stories and environments. You could basically do anything you want, tell any story you want! So why are we still going on and on about the Skywalkers? Let that saga die already!!! Glad to see that Disney is moving on from that at last with their recent Star Wars projects. This fantasy world has so much to offer!

I generally do not like anime but this is perhaps the biggest reason I’m excited by this show. When I see this I think of a bunch of different anime. Not star wars
@@elzar5987 I get that. There's a reason it's noncanon. But honestly, if you look at Legends, or even just some of the weirder Clone Wars episodes, this all somehow feels like the natural progression of insanity.
@@AD-6896 but the main difference is that still felt like star wars. A sith drawing a lightsaber like a katana out of a sheath, with wind and lightning flying all over the place.
I get what you mean completely, but it just doesn't feel like star wars.
I'm still hoping it goes well of course, I'm looking forward to it, just feels weird
It's all fun and games until Palpatine awakens his rinnegan
Lmao, I can see many memes from this
😂
It's all fun and games till the ultra instinct theme starts playing for the mc
Okay, that got me, I laughed way too hard. You win, you win ALL the wins.
Now that we know from The Last Jedi that Palpatine made a woman pregnant, I'm still awaiting that comedy show "The Emperor palpe la Teen" ("palpe la" = "touches the" in french) XD
Studio Gainax (Now Triggers), who created Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Darling in the Franxxx, etc. - just a great choice, tk. (hereinafter a bit of a spoiler) in any incomprehensible situation it all comes down to space and aliens
Anime + Star Wars, my two favorite things combined. I’m looking forward to this.
To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics. But their history, philosophy, art.

A samurai version of Star Wars? So much potential! While some episodes are hit or miss, The Duel is among my favorite things ever having to do with Star Wars.
This was also my favorite episode, the artstyle and action was astonishing.
This looks like alot of fun. Non-canon star wars stories that all seem to really combine elements of the star wars universe with elements from japanese culture and anime
so maybe we do have the possibilities of seeing Kyle Katarn and or- (maybe, but this is probably just wishful thinking)- Galin Marek/star killer in this?
I think that it would be freaking cool and it would be a cool way to basically continue the force unleashed, as was originally planned.
@@disclaimer4211 seeing star killer would actually be so awesome
@@disclaimer4211 I would love it if we got Starkiller. I love The Force Unleashed. it's one of my favorite video games.
Only, as these are Disney sanctioned videos, they undoubtably will be canon.
@@stormycatmink it’s been confirmed that these are NOT canon to disney canon and full creative control was given to the japanese studios. In my opinion anime and star wars should stay far apart from each other.
@@lordheklsmosh9490 in my opinion they are the perfect match. Star Wars was inspired from Kurosawa films and the star Wars myth is very much inspired by eastern culture. Therefore they will go together perfectly

Finally! Something that has nothing to do w the Skywalkers! And it is freakin anime!!
And by the looks of it, each episode is being handled by a different studio. This is an interesting idea no doubt
Really?
@@PDXNova Almost. 9 different stories being done by 7 different studios. So at least one studio did multiple episodes.

Paul Nakauchi is the Voice actor delivering that first line. You might know him better as Hanzo from Overwatch.
A huge step in the right direction toward more creative voices in star wars without the pressure of having to fit it into canon
Has it been confirmed as non canon?
@@DavidWMiller I mean it says "Original story set in familiar places
But that’s not gonna stop some people from trying to figure out a way to make it fit into canon.
I generally do not like anime but this is perhaps the biggest reason I’m excited by this show. Star Wars needs to get weird and go down some unexpected paths and new voices are needed to do just that. So are these voices what I want based on what I’ve seen? No but this is still an important step to watch them make.
