NOTE: The SVG cut file has been updated since this video was made and it's now a simple upload-and-go project - the score lines are already set and attached to the layers for you! There's no need to do anything other than possibly resize the project if you wish. So everything in this video from time marker 3:19 to 5:52 is no longer necessary to do! :)

I just discovered too that when you use colour sync, you don't need to move each individual item. Instead, you just click and drag the vertical bar of colour next to the objects you want to recolour, and drag all of them into the new colour. Hurrah!
i have a question because when i load it in its saying not compatible to my machine. is it just resizing that i need to figure out?

Jennifer, just finished your endless explosion box for my granddaughter's 12th Birthday so of course I made all 12 labels. Didn't have the cutest paper but I filled it with cute sentiments, Knock knock jokes for birthdays, etc. Thank you so much, my husband and I enjoy your videos and patterns so much. I had searched for weeks, wanting to make a layered money gift box for our family teens. I couldn't find one so I created a two-layer hexagon from a hexagon card pattern, as I wanted lots of pockets, but the pockets were so small, we had to roll the dollar bills to fit. It was still a hit, but this is the FIRST one I have seen that is exactly what I was looking for!! Thanks!!

Love it! Looks like a fun way to use scraps too. I’d love to see other versions of the explosion box. The standard four sided one is all I’m familiar with.

Oh my!!! I can’t wait to do this. I have often given gifts wrapped in box after box but they were just random boxes. I have made a list of all the projects I want to do when my Cricut arrives but I think this will be my favorite. I’m so glad you made the pattern extra special. Thank you for all the time you put into these lessons. I will go and buy pads of coordinating paper when they go on sale at Hobby Lobby, my second home.

I can't wait to make this! One tip: instead of moving each individual item in Color Sync, you can grab the little color indicator and move THAT to the color you want everything to be. Much quicker way if you want to change the color of multiple layers.

I LOVE THAT IDEA! How perfect for single people, office cubicles, shut ins or folks who don't have space for the more elaborate advent calendars. (full-time RV-ers, tiny home folks etc.) College dorms....I could go on. ;)

Yes made my first explosion box, made tiny photos to fit in the pockets, added personalised memory notes, embellishments. Great tutorial thakyou, simple and clear to follow and particularly liked the mat reduction technique used a scoring stylus so no tool changing. Really pleased to make something so effective.

Thank you so much! I think the newer version of design space is not recognisign the score line changes you are mentioning in your previous comment. I found that this was still required on latest version, but its amasing. I am a newbie and managed to get it right. I am so pleased. Thank you for this great tutorial.

I’m sure this has been said again and again but it’s really my gut response ... WOW!!! I really can’t imagine a more perfect use for that type of paper pad. (This may be my suggestion - I’ve only been buying the 6x6 pads. How could this work with one of those?) Also, Jennifer, I think this is the first of your instruction videos that I’ve watched and I have to say that you have a lovely way about you. You voice is pleasant and you’re great at explaining things!
Confession time: I’ve stored up your lessons on the Air 2. I’m having a heck of a time braving up on getting started. My first big step was getting it out of the shipping box. Then I had lost my laptop so I was in a holding pattern AGAIN. After watching this project come together, I am encouraged to go back to those stockpiled Getting Started videos, take my Air 2 out of the next box, and start having some fun! Thanks for that.

I'm soooooo looking forward to making one of those!!!! I remember my mom making Christmas ornaments for the tree that were like miniature scenes out of eggshells, they were gorgeous. Can you do something like that with the clear ornaments we all use?

This would make a great proposal box!! Put reasons you love the person in the pockets and even keep the flower in the middle but slit it so the ring sits upright nicely in the middle!!!
