How to cut 35mm film

This is how I cut film for filing, using a folded card as a guide. I cut the card the width of one 35mm frame so if the edge of the frame is not visible, I can line it up to the previous frame. I then cut the film past the edge of the card with a pair of scissors. This makes it easy to make a neat straight cut.
I use the same trick on 120 film with a larger card.
