Chocolate Cake Hack: Only 5 Ingredients and $5

- 10 oz bag dark chocolate chips (I used the Great Value brand from WalMart)
1/4 cup whole milk (Must be whole milk)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
8 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 400F
Grease & flour pan (I used a 10 inch round)
Melt the chocolate & milk in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Stir in melted butter.
Mix in egg yolks, then set aside.
In a separate large bowl, beat egg whites while gradually adding in the sugar until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold egg yolks into the chocolate mixture.
Pour into your prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
When the timer goes off, open your oven and let it sit for 10 minutes in the oven before moving to the counter to finish cooling.
Top with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Even better the next day ❤️
Note: To make this gluten free, use GF flour when preparing your pan.
