Rebecca after seeing one of your under $5 finds, I bookmarked this place and took two meat eaters to Spring cafe. Both were impressed by the baos and beyond burger! I also love going to Boba Guys across the street for their strawberry green tea boba! YUM!
The food looks so generous and I love your enthusiasm and that you are working hard to get them more business which is so necessary considering current circumstances. I wish I was in NYC I would love to try their food, excellent work as usual.

I discovered Spring Cafe due to your previous video. The braised Tofu Bao Bun is FIRE! Libras think alike. After viewing your food choices in this video, I was thinking that when I return, I will get the Braised Tofu Bao Bun, the mushroom fries, and the pineapple drink. Can't wait!

Currently binging videos of yours I missed over the last couple weeks and I’m so happy to see this !! My boyfriend and I became obsessed with spring cafe since your bao bun tour video last year. We go nearly every Sunday thanks to you. When I saw you hold up the drink I was waiting on that pleasantly surprised reaction!! It is hands down the best drink I’ve ever had. Super refreshing and the cute little cubed pineapples are so satisfying. The mushroom fries are incredible too. I tried them from shangri la in bay ridge but they were very oily and I felt pretty sick afterwards. Spring cafe takes the trophy with them. The sweet and spicy tofu burger is delicious, as well as the bbq pork bao and the Hawaiian burger. (coming from a sweet and savory lover). Keep up the amazing work!! Looking forward for updates with the camper. Best of luck Rebecca 😊

It’s so funny how you said you were worried about seating bc it’s Chinatown, lol Chinatown and little Italy had outdoor seating so early. I mean this in an innocent nice way lol. I remember going on a long walk in like April or may and was surprised at how so many places had nice outdoor seating over there.
i messaged you the first time I went to spring cafe like a month ago about how big the bao buns were. now i have to go back asap for the salad, mushroom fries, and pineapple drink!
I try to buy takeout there every other week. You all must try the "Black Pepper Mushroom" bow or the burger. It is mind blowingly good. What they do with mushrooms is pure magic. The burger will have more of the delicious mushroomy goodness than the bow, but what really blew me away was that they snuck in a sweet crunchy apple slice into the burger. I thought I heard angels sing when I bit into all that yummy goodness. Rebecca..........you must try it next time!!!! My non-vegan picky son has had the Hawaiian burger all the time, he likes it. It is also very good on that giant fried "chickn" salad too. To be honest, almost everything in Spring Cafe is delicious, moderately priced and great portion size.

lol just saw what you said about it the pineapple is slim its not overpowering and the chicken patty is so crispy i love sweet/savory combo tho. it looks like the yellow sauce u had was the agave mustard

By the way, try a banana leaf wrapped sticky rice! There’s a vegan one at 46 Mott street. It’s an old tofu shop, and they have a vegan banana leaf sticky rice with gluten and shiitake mushrooms. It’s cheap and delicious! They’re like Chinese tamales.
Ive had those at a Thai place once! Ill check it out!

I got the Hawaiian burger which was really good. I couldn’t get with the tofu skin bun because the texture was weird for me but I really liked the “pork” bun which tasted just like pork I had to question if it was vegan 😹
Update. I went to Spring Cafe yesterday. I ordered the salt and pepper mushrooms. They are CRACK! They put french fries to shame.

Does anyone else get like a really weird taste from beyond burgers? I love impossible burgers and veggie burgers but omg I have not been able to eat the beyond burger. The beyond sausage is so good though.
Chili oil is milder than you expect, you gotta go pretty liberal with it usually

you'll have to get some fingerless gloves or something so you can keep shooting in the cold lol also ngl I kinda hate when you order a (sort of expensive) sandwich from a cafe and it comes on sliced sandwich bread like you could easily make at home, so I can empathize with your criticisms of the ube sandwich
