As a Newcastle I’m ngl but I’m baffled that you’re moaning about the ref. He literally let your players off for fouling our players all game. Was never a pen to yous, Wilson booked for a dive was never a dive, Anderson booked for nothing, hall stamped on and nothing given

To be fair I did say that I’m not sure on the Wilson incident and that the VAR decision isn’t the reason we lost. We were crap today (again) and didn’t deserve anything from the match
Never a pen! The Ref was all for Burnley. Anderson getting a yellow after being held and Wilson getting a yellow after getting straight up and winning a corner was bizarre, whilst your midfielder stamped on Hall

The Ref was more in Burnleys favour today pal, Wilson and Anderson have been given yellows for nothing while a player can stamp on Lewis Halls foot and get nothing.
Wilson being given a yellow for diving in the box is the wrong decision. You are a clown.

Wilson didn’t even ask for the pen, he went over and got straight back up, he never asked for a pen, it was a disgrace from the ref to book him.

Let’s face it, when Isak missed the pen, he went for the rebound and got took clean out by the Burnley defender, Newcastle could of been given a second pen. The refs are abysmal. I agree Burnley should of had a pen but we should of also had a second one. The ref let yous off with murder today, so many times our players got pulled down infront of the ref and he did nothing and then there was times we fouled yous and he give nothing, he was shambolic!
Newcastle supporter here. Really want you lot to stay up but have to say, moaning about the ref is a bit delusional here mate, don’t you think? Good luck anyway, hope results go your way from here.

Newcastle supporter here. Burnley are an excellent club. If you go down I hope you come straight back up. Felt over the season the side lacked experience on the pitch. All the best for the future
XG had the score at Burnley(1.08) v Newcastle (3.58), the score reflected the true result, the burley keeper made good saves to keep it at 4-1.
I was concerned with this game, burley have been playing well and gave man united a run around and our away form had been patchy at best, to win so comfortably is testiment to the character. We go into our last three games with a outside chance of chasing down Spurs and more so finishing higher than man united for the first time in nearly 100 years

You're embarrassing your club here. Newcastle have no beef with Burnley however to blame the ref after three home wins is just daft. You've had 36 games and managed 24 points.
Mate it was 100% a pen. But if you listen to the whole thing I did say that we weren’t good enough as we haven’t been all season
Thrashed by the far the better Team. We are now competing against Teams in or around our level. I expect the Top Teams with squads worth 100’s of millions to easily beat us. I also think we did the best we could. Onto next season and away we go again UTC
Big gulf in class between the top six and bottom six and it showed here. Newcastle have spent a lot more than Burnley but not as much as others, the difference is we have spent wisely on class players like Isak and Gumaires. We still have a lot of players from the Steve Bruce era like Murphy, Ritchie, Longstaff. But we play as a team. Good luck with next two games against Spurs and Forest. 😊
No way was that ever supposed to be a pen to Burnley
The ref (and VAR) making a subjective call that you personally don’t agree with is NOT the reason Burnley lost.
Yes, the ref may have made a number of what we can opinionate as mistakes, but if anything they were not biased against Burnley.
IMHO it was NOT a PK, nor is having hands in the back a reason to give a pen.
As you say , the PROFESSIONALS all agreed it was not a pen, so us fans need to accept that.
find it a bit strange you are complaining of the ref in this game, general consensus seems to be massively favouring burnley.
gosh as a Newcastle fan I had some sympathy for Burnley, but after seeing the delusion here, I'm glad we got yous relegated. We basically destroyed you lot after the first 10 minutes and you had no answer to it. Maybe you should start asking questions about your team and the manager instead of moaning about a referee decision (which was a missed pen anyway) in a 1-4 battering. good luck at the championship next year
We've been down since Christmas, the reasons, naivety on the managers part, playing the child in the pegs for a lot of the season and trying to play tippy tappy stuff and not building a team from the back, which has been the Burnley way for years

Yes your right we are just not good enough at this level. A lot of work to do in summer to sort this team out. NO NO NO cutting edge at all. Terrible. Bad recruitment in summer is a big part of the failure of this year.

He went down and jumped straight back up. I found that booking baffling. And then you Anderson touches a guys face after being on for 1 minute and gets booked..... Guve the lad a warning ffs

CFC fan here I think it was a good shout for a penalty and the gutless creatures in VAR are lazy so and so's. On first glance a penalty looked soft until you saw in the replay that not only did Guimaraes uses his hip he also pushed the back of the player. Think Kompany's silence suggests the authorities have muzzled him.
Yours are all penalties & opponents are all dives. Yeah alright mate whatever 😂 That ref was your 12th man all afternoon. Newcastle never got a decision until the game was already way out of sight. Oh and rhat stamp on Lewis Hall was disgusting, and nothing given. You should be giving that ref and your goalkeeper the keys to the city cos withiut them it could easily have been double figures. Yiu're just not good enough, simple as that. Technically lacking, mentally lacking and a yard off the pace.
Kompany has thought big, and tried to get players to step up to levels they simply are not capable of. But without the right raw materials it was just never gonna happen.
What you lack are 2 or 3 seasoned low to mid premier league players with experience. Without that you're always gonna come off worst in a dogfight. You'd have done way better with Kompany on rhe pitch not in the dugout.

Unfortunately players have to dive to get the inept refs/VAR to notice the shirt pull or holding. It’s a shame because it’s all ruining the game.
Either way the shirt pull was a foul but if you just carry on running the refs will never blow for it.
