Looks great. Agree it's better with a little butter and without breadcrumbs.(too much starch) Very well explained. In the Bahamas, we butter the dish. (lightly) Some people sprinkle paprika on top. Also good if fresh hot pepper is added.(matter of taste)

Almost everyone I know in the Caribbean, and especially in Trinidad and Tobago make their Macaroni pies very differently. Sometimes I add grated carrots, red and green bell peppers, and green peas to my Macaroni pie. So you should try other people's recipe and see if you'd like it. It may be even tastier than the ones that you usually make. Learn to be nice to ANYONE who teaches you something that's good, because they're taking their time to share their knowledge with you. Be thankful!
