The Matildas are played by Imogen Cole, Alyssa D’Souza, Alex Munden and Zoe Simon, and can be seen getting to grips with their gymnastic ribbon skills under the watchful eye of Elliot Harper (Miss Trunchbull).
Celebrating 10 years since the multi award-winning show opened in London, this iconic British musical has won 99 international awards including 24 for Best Musical and has been seen by more than 10 million people across more than 90 cities worldwide.
Matilda the Musical is now booking through to 13 February 2022.

The girls all look too old. Bring back the 8,9 and 10 year olds that they used to cast.

These girls were all cast pre-pandemic two of them were due to start the week we went into lockdown. A lot of the cast are older than they usually would be. But it would be unfair for these girls not to get a run after rehearsing so hard. It’s likely when the cast is changed in March time they will go back to the 8-10 year olds playing the role but for now these girls are doing a fantastic job

They are all within the age rage, you must be 8-14

Well they are young enough to playbher besides at that age they have more experience in acting then younger ones

A) why are the Matildas all so old she’s supposed to be like six years old not almost a teenager
B) Why am I not surprised there is a non white matilda more box ticking no offence to the little girl nothing to do with her personally

They were probably younger when they cast them but there was obviously a pandemic. The age range for the role (as the website says) 8-12years the old and must be under 4”2. As long as they are fitting those requirements, they would cast them

The role is too demanding for a 6 year old. Not to mention that they need to be a triple threat, they just wouldn’t be able to cast enough girls to keep the show running
