  • The final components of Newport News Shipbuilding’s 310-long-ton Goliath gantry crane left the shipyard by barge on Oct. 31 and were transported to a recycling facility near Hopewell, Virginia. This video captures the seven month disassembly and removal process of the crane, which was built in 1969.
