I don’t think she such a bad job. She was staying with you guys on aggressive riding and got sucked into that culvert. She did a great job bailing off so she didn’t get hurt. It was a blast nontheless and yes, she did do pretty well altogether. Especially for being so long since actually riding. Lol, no she doesn't critique the pole hit but trust me, I was pissed at myself for a week over that. It's easier to get frustrated when it's all my money invested but even then, asked if she was okay and got the sled out. I wouldn't say I critiqued her, I gave her 2 tips to help her stay away from the tipping point that she was clearly frequently in and that was the only critical thing that was said to her. Of course not all the footage made it to the video so it amy appear that i was harder on her than i really was; she knows she wasn't held responsible nor is she nervous about riding more. It was an accident that could have been avoided, just like my pole hit. We live, we ride, we learn. Thanks for watching the video, greatly appreciated!
@@DIPSTICKTV In my early 20’s I snowchecked 1993 440 Indy Liquid. Never had a sled before. I did ride my dad’s Snow Pony a couple times when I was 10 or 11. My older brother was a sledhead and liked aggressive ditch riding with his friends. I often went with those guys and they kept me 2nd to last. In the ditches I was riding way beyond my ability. I felt like my feet and butt were never where they were supposed to be. I was like a cartoon of a guy trying to stay on a bull. The guys said I did well but I knew I wasn’t riding safely. Fortunately I was in great shape and was able to hold on. I never hit anything or busted my sled but after nearly every ride, in the truck on the way home, I went over the many close calls I had and realized I almost died several times each ride. Super fun but now that Im older and don’t have a sled I like to see your GF make a good decision and bail. Its a rotten feeling when you think you’ve let your group down by slowing them down or needing a tow. Those culverts can easily suck you in if you’re not familiar at watching for them or powering away from them. Be safe

@@jwwalker688 When I was younger I thought the same way. Once, my buddy and I went to a Fly-In fishing resort in Canada to stay and ride. I was leading on the trail and running at our usual fast pace. Just ahead of me 2 Lynxes ran out onto the trail and off into the brush. I kept speeding along and when we came to a crossroad I stopped. My buddy said we should slow down so we can appreciate what were seeing. After that we slowed our pace and saw some cool stuff like a fresh wolf kill and a moose. It just depends on what a person wants to get out of the ride.

Thats is 100% my old sled. Still have pics of it and the original mso from polaris to lavallee. It has changed hands alot in the last few years. It was a mod, got the updates the 14s got including the 128" skid. When it was sold it had a stock 600 and original shocks thrown back on when sold by lavallee in 2016

I'll definitely chase him down at haydays this coming September and see if I can get any additional info from him. I'm sure he won't be able to tell me a whole lot more than what we've gathered for info over the last week or so but still, would be cool to get a clip with him talking about it and get an idea of how many identically modified sleds are actually out there from the era. I had to gently tell my wife this same thing was stop letting the sled drive her she needs to drive the sled. You cant just hold the throttle and hope the sled goes the right way. Saying this with no negative intent purely out of safety! great video non the less!! Jealous u guys have snow, we got nothing on the east coast.
Bummer. I just came across this channel and started watching these videos cause I had an 03 440 exactly like that. It broke a trailing arm mount last year so I parted it out. I still have that belly pan and skid plate if you need some stuff!
Ditch banging can be hazardous. I might be riding somewhere near st cloud this weekend. Just did a quick run through elm creek park reserve yesterday morning after and during all that snowfall we got. Usually it's pretty rough so it's not my favorite but it's like 2 miles from me and decent with fresh snow. I'd rather ride groomed trails out in the state forests up north.
The area outside of St Cloud we rode just got 11-12" in the last dropping. Should be solid riding conditions now. Enjoy the rip and thanks for watching!
Super crisp and the throttle pressure is extremely light. So far it's been a really good buy. Lots of cool little mods done by team LaVallee that are unique to the sled. Oh, she does. Ripped it today in a bunch of fresh powder that just fell on us over here. It's well over waist deep in some spots here. Probably 2' of snow in general. I don't know much about the sport, I had like 4 sleds back in the day, the fastest being a 1980s Yamaha ss 440... You guts never talk about like Chaos boost or Lynx, Riot, ect. Is it because mountain sleds have completely different everything, and race sleds have there own models??? Or are those just super new, and expensive?? Just curious
A bit of both aspects; we aren't going to get the full value out of a long track around where we live, you'll have to trailer and travel. When spending $18k+ on a new age sled, it leaves that much less spare funds to go travel. Definitely goals but just out of our league right now.

Grew up a die hard Arctic Cat fanboy. Huge Tucker Hibbert fan. Dad bought me one of Hibbert's mechanic's 2001 SnoPro 440 fan sled (1 of 500) as my first sled when i was 12. He would bring me to races and haydays every year. in 2005 i seen the IQR and literally fell in love lol. When i bought my proX in 2018 there at haydays, i was searching for either an IQR, a F-chassis race sled or a MXZX. Stumbled across the ProX and made the move. Now it's been all Polaris for me. Realistically, although i like to make the typical jokes about the other brands, as we all know, they all have their issues and they all break down lol. Riding anything is better than not riding at all! Thanks for watching the vid!

Ya, we have a good chunk of info built up on the sled already but I want to chat with Cory here about it more since he clearly seems to have owned it. That's a big missing link going back directly to the sale of it. Would like to know as much history as possible on it.
Good thing she bailed, because she wasn't going to save it and that would have been a lot worse with her still on the sled. Bruised pride and some cracked plastic is nothing in life.
