you ain't lying just need mid a crash or something just give me a china or a splash every drummer usually know the house drummer who has that setup with everything you need but I always take my cheap cymbal setup already in my car with my old cymbals stands just in case if guys need it never know what they feeling
misread a little bit. to expand on Terrance's reply. its to hear tracks, metronome and the rest of the band. think of it like replacing a floor wedge with headphones.
I use them at church usually its to hear the click the track and the rest of the band and the singers or preacher cause some set up its hard to the band or singer so headphones help out on that end. Also some churches or set up the have a talk back mic where the keyboardist or organist or who ever is directing the band can talk to the band and communicate and direct the band
