I seriously think that out of all of the AHS seasons with him in it I think the first season is my all time favorite just because how treats violet and him just being cute.

"Your hair is on fire must a lost your wits" he lights his moms boyfriend on fire. Think about it. Tate is a walking mix of Homicidal Suicidal Angst!

His guns were removed by police not long before he did it. Also door was locked from the inside and had a barstool propped under the handle.
I remember when tate said he like nirvana in the pilot and later asked violet in the actual show if she had any kurt cobain. Jimmy darling also sang come as you are by nirvana so I am 100% certain that Evan Peter's likes nirvana. This song fits so well.
