Thank you for all you do. I’m excited (and nervous) to get one. I hope to do all my Christmas gifts with the Bolt. So many materials to choose from. I will be waiting for all your videos on each of them so I can learn a lot.
Does the bolt engrave metal or does it just mark metal? Do you need to use a spray like cermark for metal? Does the bolt require a chiller or does it have built in chiller?
Yes, absolutely real hardwood is much easier to cut then ply! stay away from big box stores for ply most of is is junk convenient yes.. best source is customs cabinet shops or online ask on forums where everyone is getting quality ply. true Baltic birch is hard to get ahold of now because it comes from Russia.
Is the Bolt camera accessible via networked Ethernet connection? I heard that a physical USB connection is needed to have access to it. Is that correct?
@@computercreationz Actually, my ideal scenario would be to use a networked ethernet connection so more than one computer can send files to the Bolt (not simultaneously). Would this type of a setup be possible? Is it possible for any of the Thunder Lasers?
I’ve had both, of course the 24 has a larger work space, the bolt has better engraving inho. If your doing allot of engraving or umblers I believe the bolt is the way to go If you don’t need the space. The 24 excels in cutting between the two for sure. There is no perfect laser so evaluate what you do the most and the size of your projects and go from there
@@computercreationz i do a lot of leather hat patches and was worried about the cutting. I use real leather mostly and not too much of leatherette. Would the Bolt be feasible for just the engraving and cutting the leather for hat patches.? I was really looking at the Nova 24 because of weight limits the Nova 35 and up is too heavy for a townhouse unit which i am on the 2nd floor. With the Nova 24 is the cutting power much stronger than the Bolt?
The Bolt excels at leatherette, there is no comparison between the bolt and the 24 when I comes to leatherette. Because the bolt has a Rf tube instead of a glass tube it does a much better job engraving on leatherette. Especially on metallic leatherette the bolt does that very well but the 24 struggles with metallics! @@SpecialtyDesignConceptsHawaii
Watched live last night. Great job. I really enjoyed it.
I appreciate the input!

You can do it!
I ordered one and was told I would get it in mid December.
congrats! your going to love it 😍
Thanks!
so appreciate your contribution to the channel. Thank you very much!
Went to that website but it doesn't look like yours did in the video. Did the update it and take a bunch of stuff out of the Thunder Academy section??
yes they rearranged the site recently

I will not engrave metal, it can mark metal with a specific spray
Would it cut 1/4" hardwoods (like oak, walnut, etc)? Do you recommend any quality sources for plywood? Great channel, keep the videos coming!

No. If
Your using windows you need only 1 USB to run both the laser and camera. If you have an apple you will have one Ethernet and one usb cable
