- Only damage taken was Nihil and the lingering ground fire lol. Not technically a no hit bc I didn’t use the tear and just barely missed the one cycle but I didn’t take damage directly from Mohg, which is cool. Honestly one of my favorite weapons in the game, thing just does beautiful damage and is so simple yet so cool. If it wasn’t competing with things like MLGS and Death’s Poker it wouldn’t be nearly as underrated.
If you are bored, use this for a run. For the early game I messed with the royal GS as I did Ainsel skip and then killed Astel (painfully) and then killed Blaidd bc he got mad. Use that until you get to mountain tops, or just cheat it in if you’re on pc. Both weapons are sick, try them out if you can. Also thanks for listening to my rambling.

Yeah I fucked up the poise and was off by 2 charged heavies and then when he started the phase transition I didn’t think I had the stamina
man i tried mohg on a damn pyromancy build and didnt realise he had friggin 80% fire resistance , swapped to a diff build and whopped his ass though

Mohg was really hard the first time I fought him. Have yet to try a rematch but I doubt it'll be much easier
Did you fight the omen mohg in leyndell? I think that is a good warmup fight and he is not much easier than the real mohg due to him being immune to all status effects and having lots of hp.
Yes, I also did double forked greatsword +27 with blood flame armament and Flame Buff Spells, Killed the guy before he could enjoy phase 2
Yeah the steeple had the damage I just fucked up the poise bc I thought it was two heavies before he staggered instead of one and didn’t have the stamina. Either way I love this weapon and fighting mohg so win-win.

I feel like the Darkmoon great sword and this sword should have been one, combine the cool swing animation on this sword and the flame effect but use the cool heavy slash attack of the Darkmoon great sword

I miss-counted the poise damage making him stagger earlier, cutting out a heavy before phase transition and then I thought I didn’t have enough time during the transition to go for a heavy. It was still a good showcase for the weapon and how good its damage is.
Tip : instead of using the ruinous ghostflame at the start, use it when attaching him because it counts as attack too!

Why the arrows
I started as samurai bc it makes the early game easier and just never unequipped them. I only used them to pop the balloons in liurnia for enough runes to buy somber stones from Iji.

First i defeated him with death poker (in death weapon series death poker is the strongest period). Then in second run defeated him with his own weapon. There's something satisfying defeating these b****** with their own weapon but I've met Malenia and her weapon is joke its been 15 days I'm dieing at second stage everytime in the second run. I don't even remember how many times I've fought her in the second run and even her spell is sh** 😭 like why does the strongest or second strongest no no she is the strongest. I beat elden beast with two blasphemous swords not in second run in first one.
My bloodhound fan build killed him before he does the nihil thing
He’s weak to bleed and slash so bloodhound fang with bloodflame can make very quick work of him especially with the lord of blood talisman

riiigghhtt. "Helphen's steeple is strong vs. Mohg." runs in with 5 attack buffs.
They’re in the game for a reason. This wasn’t on a run where I didn’t use any; I’ve done that before and It’s not really much different. Plus, the steeple is the gs with the highest ar, as it has incredible base damage. The weapon is built around buffing, with the weapon art even being a buff.
Frankly, and I don’t mean this as a dig at you, you’d have to be retarded to think that utilizing game mechanics and using your stats to build towards having the most efficient damage you can with your current weapon is worse than just dumping into your scaling to get diminishing returns. I did this run as a way to see how strong this weapon can get, and while there’s obviously ways to make it stronger (unsurprisingly, with like 4 more buffs) the way I was buffing it here was the most efficient way of boosting its damage. The only other reasonable way to boost its damage is either rtsr or terra magica. Both of which are kinda hyperspecific and I didn’t like using them.
If playing the game wrong means utilizing everything I can (bc it’s fun lol) then you’ve gotta go outside more. I’ve done rl1 runs and don’t find them fun as its challenge is entirely artificial, but if that’s how you want everyone to play the game, then you gotta realize people have fun in different ways bro.
