My mom has been using the oldie lakme nature marble for 40 years.. I still have a restock of 5 of these .. not kidding.. and was compact shamed by my friends for using this 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
No waaay your mom is so cool! We didn’t live in India so I’ve never had a chance to explore Indian makeup much. But that OG Lakmé compact is amazing! I can totally see how people find the pricing and packaging ‘inferior’ compared to the new brands out there but the formula is too good! Tell your friends to take a hike coz you have good choice in makeup 😉
@@PreitiBhamra I don’t think she had a choice .. even when we were teenagers the only compact available was the lake one .. thankfully we matched the shade coz the shade range is preposterous.. earlier it had a cardboard package like benefit and was a bit loose .. they might go back to cardboard packaging .. yes I was shamed many times but Instead of bowing down I just bought the one with spf that u showed as well .. I agree I DO have a great sense of makeup 💁🏻♀️❤️❤️❤️
As summer are there I don't really like to apply foundation on daily basis I enjoy using compact only. I was using L'oreal compact the pink packaging one 'which now is discontinued' and it's almost finished so I was looking for a new medium coverage compact today itself. Thank you for this one. Currently using Faces canada stay matte spf 25 and it's great. But yeah, under the eyes, it's not working as good as a translucent powder.
Yes it creases! I prefer setting powders instead of compacts for setting the Undereyes 🙋🏻♀️

Indian brands cannot test on animals and animal testing is banned in India. Since lakme doesn’t sell offline or even online abroad, they don’t need to mention crueltyfree in a country where animal testing is already banned! I’ve spoken to the teams back in 2017-2018 regarding this as well :) the mother company HUL tests on animals abroad not in india just like Loreal tests on animals but owns nyx and other crueltyfree brands that don’t test on animals. Parent company functions separately from the child/sister companies

Hey I have a doubt. You said the faces is not good for under eyes but you also mentioned that it is what you're wearing right now? Did you use something else to set the concealer and compact for rest of the face?
I always use translucent setting powder under my eyes for setting concealer during shoots

Hi, i dont think Lakmé is cruelty free.
Lakme is crueltyfree owned by a non CF company HUL similar to NYX which is CF owned by non CF company Loreal and the same applies to too faced and now with The Ordinary too since they got acquired. India has banned animal testing so indian companies cannot test on animals here and since lakme doesn’t sell in mainland China it is CF. Check my Instagram highlight ‘lakme cf status” to see screenshots of the brands confirmation on the same xx

It will work since it’s a very sheer coverage. I highly recommend moisturising the skin well before any makeup even compact powder 😇
